COV!D I9 Covenant.

My last blog entry entitled "Transitioning" spoke of the movement we were experiencing from one season to another via a "collision" of the Spiritual with the physical - this Transitioning is still in process and although I cannot say that I am surprised by this movement and the time it is taking, I certainly can say that I stand in wonder as I watch how the life changing events take place.

With this process I have been led to discover many spiritual truths and for this blog I shall reference a few Scriptures from amongst those that have been impressed on me during these last 6 months - verses such as John 14:15-26; John 16:13-15;  Rom 12:1-2; 2 Cor 6:14-7:1 [in my case read in context and aligned to Is 52:11-12]; Mat 6:24-34 arw Rev 13:16-18.

Taking these few Scriptures together one can see that they all speak of intimate relationships of Trust and surrender between the Believer and the Creator Elohim.

These Scriptures all have to do with establishing a Covenant between the Creator Elohim and His People - 

First allow me ask then: What is a Covenant? 

1. A covenant defines a relationship by setting the rules of that relationship. = A contract on the other hand defines an exchange of goods by / through applying certain conditions - quid pro quo.

2. A Covenant is spiritually binding whilst a Contract is legally binding.

3. A Covenant is a pledge agreed upon whilst a Contract is an agreement without a pledge.

4. A Covenant is a perpetual promise whilst a Contract can be limited to a period of time and may be broken if one party fails to deliver on the contract conditions.

5. A Covenant is something you fulfill out of a sense of honour, integrity and adherence to a moral and binding code whilst a Contract is mutually beneficial and is based on Law.  

6. A Covenant is giving oneself to the other unconditionally whilst a contract exchanges one good for another.

7. A covenant is, at essence, a forward-looking relationship agreement, setting out each party’s status and responsibilities in relation to each other andatin relation to strangers to the Covenant. 

8. A Covenant, in a Biblical Near-Eastern context was generally based on a stronger partner (Suzerian) who took on the role of the benefactor, protector, provider etc and the weaker partner (Vassel) who was the beneficiary and recipient of favour from the Suzerain partner.

9. Within the structure of the Covenant was the "Gifts / Privelages / Advantages" and so forth loaned / granted to the Vassel (weaker partner) for the benefit of both the Suserain and Vassel with the proviso that the weaker partner (Vassel) administrated the "Gift" according to the agreement between the parties.

There is much more that one could add to this list but I believe this is enough to get the gist of what a Covenant is.

So to sum this portion up the basic difference between a Biblical Covenant and a man centered Contract is that in a Covenant one does not rely on man or material "things / possessions" to define ones quality of life BUT trusts, depends and waits on The Creator Elohim to determine what He requires for us and then for Him and Him alone to meet that specific need!

Although Covenants are a form of contract, they do not work like a contract. They are a trust-based promise that relies on our integrity and discipline. While contracts are enforceable by the courts, covenants depend on your values.

Finally, being of a perpetual promise a Covenant can only be broken through the death of one or more parties to that Covenant, or in the Biblical text, by an act of adultery in the physical or idolatary in the Spiritual realm (one and the same - Mat 5:27-28). 

With that now being established we are told that an eternal Covenant, which was a Betrothal Gift from The Creator to His Creation, was given her (Creation / Humans) in The Garden so that she could "Rule and Reign" with her Bridegroom King. I am of the opinion that Gen 3:8-11 witnesses to the fact that Adam and Chavah (Eve) accepted this Gift of Covenant by the fact that prior to this event of sin (breaking of Covenant) The Word indicates that they walked according to what YHWH had instructed to do. Thus in other words we have an offer of a Covenant to Adam / Chavah, and by their actions and obedience to that Covenant offer an acceptance of said presented Covenant by The Suserain (Stronger Partner) to the Vassel (weaker partner) was shown.

PLEASE PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO WHAT I AM ABOUT TO SAY NOW - THE COVEANT GIVEN TO ADAM AND CHAVAH (EVE) WAS AND IS AN ETERNAL AND BENEVOLENT GIFT OF GRACE AND FAVOUR FROM THE MOST HIGH WHICH IS MEANT FOR EVERY ASPECT AND NEED REGARDING OUR HEALTH, WELFARE, SAFETY, ETERNAL WELL BEING AND SO MUCH MORE - PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT, THE COVENANTS, AS SET OUT BELOW, ARE A BETROTHAL GIFT FROM OUR CREATOR AND ELOHIM - YHWH, THROUGH HIS WORD, HIS VOICE, HIS SON THE CREATOR YESHUA!

Moving on - although I have covered this many times before I believe it is expedient to once again ask the question: What is Sin?

For that answer see Jas_2:9; Mar_12:28-31 quoting Deu_6:4-5 - Covenant love is to love YHWH with not only our actions but with our very being progressivly growing out of A Covenant inspired relationship grounded, nurtured and walking as Yeshua did 1Jn_5:2-3 and John 14:15-18. NOT TO WALK IN THIS WAY CONSTITUTES SIN!

Thus in The Garden a Betrothal Covenant between The Creator and His Bride was entered into with mutual agreement - Gen_2:3-25 - Gen_3:1-23. 

In this Portion of Scripture we also see the earthly representation of this Covenant portrayed in and through the 7th day Shabbat (Covenant Sign - similar to our "engagement ring" - Gen 2:1-3 as witnessed in Ex 31:13-17) This Gift of The Covenant Shabbat is then followed by the Gift of a Wife from The Creator presenting us with the Marriage of Adam and Chavah (Eve) -  Gen 2:21-25: This is again witnessed to in Eph 5:21-33 reminding us emphatically how we, through the same process as the portrayed Scriptural Marriage, become One with Yeshua The Creator Elohim in the Spirit as we do with our spouses in the flesh.

We also see in Gen 3:21 that the "Bride" now having broken the Marriage Covenant by an act of DISOBEDIENCE [idolatry - akin to adultery] - an act which now brought about certain SICKNESS & DEATH (Gen 2:16-17 bears this out when looking at the last portion of verse 17 which can also be correctly translated as "...dying you shall die") and fallen Creation (man) could now only gain entry back into this Marriage Covenant by the death of and covering with an innocent Surrogate Life (See Yeshua as that Surrogate Life) because man had now become like Elohim knowing (having intimate knowledge with) Good and Evil (Gen 3:22) BECAUSE YESHUA HAS NOT BROKEN HIS SIDE OF THE COVENANT AND IS OFFERING HIMSELF TO BRING US BACK TO THE ORIGINAL ADAMIC (MARRIGE) COVENANT - in other words Yeshua was without SIN. Yeshua is the very essence of The Covenant as established in The Heavens for eternity.

Thus YHWH, this being The Covenant Name of our Creator Elohim (Gen 15:6-18 and Ex 6:3), begins to reintroduce fallen man back to His Covenant thereby beginning the re-establishment of His Kingdom here on Earth again as it is in Heaven (Mat 6:9-13); this re-introduction was, as with any person when being taught, revealed incrementally, or progressively if you will by the introduction of -

• The Noachic Covenant Expansion [Gen_8:20-22 – Gen_9:1-17] which in its presentation confirms also the broken Adamic Covenant.
• The Avrahamic Covenant Extension [Gen_12:1-3; Gen_15:1-21; Gen_17:1-22, Gen_18:10-19; and Gen_22:1-18].
• The Courtship Covenant Extension and Expansion [Exo_6:3-8] leading into The Sinaitic Betrothal Covenant Extension and Expansion [recorded in Exo_19:3 to Num_10:10]
• And finally for this exercise we have The Renewed Covenant Extension and Expansion [Jer_31:27-40; Eze_36:22-38, and Isa_60:1-11 to Isa_62:1-12] ratified by Yeshua as seen in verses such as Mat 26:28 as read with John 19:30 when He publically declared before witnesses and for all time - "It is finished." [teleo - to set out and reach a specific goal - that goal being the ratification of The Renewed Marriage Covenant after it's being broken in The Garden]. (Thanks to Rabbi's son for this breakdown).

It must be noted that each of these progresive revelations back to the fullness of The Covenant made in The Garden needed to be accompanied by the "shedding" of blood (*this is very important and is summed up at the end of this blog) - this obviously points to Messiah's Death on the stake to pay for our sins allowing us to be redeemed and thereby become eligable to re-enter His Covenant, NOTA BENE - Note Well - please that each of these progressive moves back were "covered / clothed" in the need to "shed blood" - 

Noachic - Gen 8:20 

Avrahamic - Gen 15:9ff

Sinaitic - Ex 24:6-8

Renewed - Mat 26:27-28 arw John 19:34-37

Having briefly covered the Holy Covenant of Divine Authorship of Matrimony please now allow me to share what I believe was a Divine insight into Matrimony of us within His Body as He sees and meant it to be:

A male child is born and circumcised on the 8th day - (Gen 17:9-14) - this is the Sign of the Covenant, The shedding of Blood  - the "cutting off of the flesh" pointing to Yeshua and the sacrifice of His Flesh (and now ours). Lev 12:3 makes circumcision an official condition of The Covenant and thus to all Nations now joining (being grafted) into Yisrael, The Redeemed Bride. - Again there is more to thos Sign than being presented here.

When a woman is born she is under the covering of her circumcised father - now when she marries she comes out from under his (her Father's) covering and comes under the covering of her husband (a circumcised man). On the night of their matrimonial consumation she, the woman herself, also now enters into a blood relationship (Covenant Relationship) with her husband through her virginial show of blood. If there is no blood the Covenant between the husband and wife is considered broken.

Now the Covenanted pair bear fruit - children - Gen 1:26-28 an aspect of The Covenant Promise made by YHWH to His Creation. These are irrevocable gifts from The Creator because He alone gives LIFE - the flesh does not - Gen 2:7; Job 33:4 ; John 6:63; Gen 30:2. 

When reading 1 Cor 7:13-15 we see a startling declaration to support my statement made above - children born to un-covenanted parents (i.e. those not in Covenant with YHWH through Yeshua) are unclean and thus NOT HOLY - set apart for YHWH - however the moment even one of the parents comes back into Covenant the children from their previously uncovernanted marriage are now considered clean and HOLY! (The same also applies to the un-covenanted partner - HOWEVER they, these un-covenanted in the family / union - although considered clean still are required to work out their own salvation through Yeshua - here we again see YHWH keeping His side of The Covenant - it is us who do not keep and continually break His Covenant Gifts - see an incredible end time prophecy regarding us and our children coming back to YHWH through Yedhua and a returning to His Covenant recorded in Deut 30:1-20).

Whilst speaking of life, we need to remember please that there is LIFE in the Blood - (Gen 9:4; Lev 17:11-14) thus the prohibition from eating Blood - and again note please that that LIFE again points to Yeshua Whose Blood we require for our redemption and return to The Covenant - Marriage Covenant because He is The Way, The Truth AND THE LIFE - John 14:6. 

YHWH gives LIFE, as shown above, and only YHWH can claim that LIFE - Deut 32:39; Ps 68:20; Hos 6:1-2 and more.

YHWH is our COVENANT HEALER & PROVIDER - Reading Ex 15:26 we see that - - the people need fresh water - YHWH provides, Moshe then informs us that if we will just obey all His Covenant Condition HE WILL BY IMPLICATION PROVIDE FOR ALL OUR NEEDS AND WILL NOT ALLOW THE PLAGUES OF EGYPT TO FALL ON US! We also see in this verse that The Covenant Name for our Elohim is usedwith the addition of Him being our Healer - YHWH RAPHA [H7495 raphah - To mend, cure, heal, repair, make whole, stitch together]!!

I wonder what plagues are being unleashed on the world's population today? Could they be the plagues of Egypt?  

In Mark 2:17  a connection between sin and health is made. See also Ps 41:1-4; Ps 91: 3, 6-11; James 5:14-16.

Luke 7:21 tells us that Yeshua healed both diseases and plagues - although there is a distinction between diseases and plagues it is evident from various Scriptures that these two descriptions are also used interchangebly. A study for another day, but the point being that Yeshua HEALS ANY DISEASE BECAUSE IT IS PART OF COVENANT GRACE AND MERCY! Is 53:4-6

So how does one begin to come back to these Covenant promises made by YHWH to His Betrothed; to answer that let us have a look at 2 Cor 6:14-18 as we expound a little on PLAGUES and Babylon / Egypt departure in real time and real terms.

We are asked by Sha'ul in 2 Cor 6:15-16 what does Yeshua and Bilial (wickedness and / or worthlessness) have in common? What does the Living Temple of YHWH have to do with the IDOLS? (remember IDOL / IDOLATRY in the spirit is adultery within a marriage) - an IDOL is simply something that we place before or between us and YHWH; something which prevents us giving out total commitment and attention to Him through His Covenant and it's application by us as instructed. 

Sha'ul then goes on in verse 16 to state that if we are indeed the living Temple of YHWH our Elohim then He comes and abides in us so we are to "Therefore, “Come out from among them and be separate, says יהוה, and do not touch what is unclean, and I shall receive you."   Sha'ul then concludes that if we seperate ourselves from these unbelievers and their worldly ways YHWH will be our doting Abba.

We are instructed in Rev 18:4 to "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues." See also Jer 51:6-9.

An essential part of walking in Covenant with YHWH our Elohim is Faith - (Pistis in Greek - fidelity faithfulness and trust) -

So - What is Faith?

Heb 11:1 answers this question very clearly  - just like the sign of The Sabbath and   Circumcision are signs of The Covenant when weighed against Scripture - so to is FAITH - a tangible and observable sign made in obedience to The Covenant. I saw this on a coffee mug the other day - Faith is believing in things when common sense tells you not to! But a little more to the point - FAITH is the tangible and visable evidence of something believed in, relied upon, trusted in and acted out as a response of such belief and trust!   

We care also told in Heb 11:6 as translated in the CJB that "and without TRUSTING it is impossible to be well pleasing to Elohim, because whoever approaches Him must TRUST that He does exist and that He becomes a rewarder to those who seek Him out."

Now most reading this blog will say that we have faith [TRUST] in YESHUA and His Covenant / Commandments (Marriage Covenant) and that we seek Him out. That may very well be, BUT how do we seek Him out? Is it by arguing on how to say The Name; or approach His Calendar? 

OR do we seek Him out by application of His Word in trying to LOVE Him with all our heart, strength, soul (body) and loving our brothers as ourselves? This LOVE is not the human, denominational, mainline love we have always been taught). 

With this in mind please now remember that Yeshua revealed to Yochanan this massively important fact in Rev 3:15-22 from the CJB and as commented on within the text by me:

"I know what you are doing: you are neither cold nor hot [evidenced by our actions]. How I wish you were one or the other! So because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold [undecided like waves on a shore with which YHWH cannot work because of unstable mind - James 1:5-7], I will vomit you from my mouth! [In Hebraic thought vomit is unclean and is an action, often involutary, required to purge something sickening and vile from The Body!] For you keep say 'I am rich, I have gotten rich, I don't need a thing!' [Relying on man or material "things / possessions" to define ones quality of life and to meet his needs and  not trusting, depending and waiting on The Creator Elohim to determine what He requires for us and then TRUSTING that HE and HE alone is able to meet that specific need we have] Therefore You don't know that you are the one who is wretched, pitiable, poor, blind and naked! [Even Adam and Chavah knew that - Gen 3:8-10] My advice to you is to buy gold refined by fire so that you may be rich [HOW? One may begin with confession and asking forgiveness for our actions up till now and then making every effort to apply Roms 12:1-2 to our lives, because as Sha'ul says - "This will please Him and it is logical Temple worship for you" because after all our Bodies are now His Temple in which He resides!]; and white clothing, so that you may be dressed and not have to be ashamed of your nakedness; and eyesalve to rub on your eyes, so that you may see. As for Me, I rebuke and discipline everyone that I love; so exert yourselves, and turn from your sins [reversing of the actions we are committing now of breaking His Covenant and replacing them with actions motivated by TRUST - FAITH]! Therefore Here I AM standing at the door, knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come in and eat with him and he will eat with Me [return to fellowship with Messiah] ...... let them hear what I am saying to the Messianic Communities."Please Note - this was addressed to Messianic Communitees - NOT CHRISTIAN SUNDAY, SHABBAT DENYING CHURCHES.

Taking the above into consideration we may need to ask ourselves now - Under whose authority / protection do we really placed ourselves?Yeshua's or Dr F and the farmers and all the other cohorts in this saga and "reset"?

If we say that we walk as Yeshua walked - would that really be Scripturally true as witnessed to us by our concience? Could it stand up to the scrutiny of The Word and that "Little, Still Voice deep, deep in us?" 

We may need to briefly look at how Yeshua walked when on Earth? 

For one I do not believe He would have taken any form of "medical pin-prick procedure" pumping "unclean and unknown stuff" into Him - but lets side step that for now.

To establish how he would have walked we may need to make sure we are looking at the right Messiah so that be said allow me to please ask this question to just test our spiritual foundations: How then do we know that Yeshua [Jesus] who we look to and attest our re-birth to really is The same Messiah Who gave us The Covenant, Who is The Son Of Elohim, Who is the very likeness of Elohim Himself?

Very simple answer - He complied with Scriptural Prophecies concerning Him AND HE WAS WITHOUT SIN - HE NEVER BROKE THE MARRIAGE COVENANT - Heb 4:14-16; 2 Cor 5:21 and more. So if we say we are His and are doing our very best to be found walking in Covenant with Him then we aught to walk and act like He did! Not so? - 1 John 1:5-10.

Why have I entitled this blog COV!D I9 Covenant? 

For the first time in human history we will all come face to face with this globally required medical application brought about by COV!D I9. It is of little concern how, where or what caused it - YHWH ALLOWED IT TO COME TO PASS so how do we deal with it? Maybe we should be asking Him how to. 

So then please allow me to now hopefully draw this blog to a conclusion and shine some Scriptural light on this event by posing a few more questions which may hopefully cause us to arrive at some answers which may be of eternal benefit to us and to the Glory and Honour of the Name of Messiah Yeshua, our Betrothed:

A caveat  here please - 

• Do you, the one reading this blog, consider yourself to be redeemed through The Blood of The Lamb? 

Great, awesome the questions are coming - 

HOWEVER if not please consider the offer of Salvation and redeption through The Works of Yeshua HaMeshiach - if you feel "the tug" that would be Him Knocking - open the door and invite Him in AND JUST POUR YOUR HEART OUT TO HIM! It is as simple as that - BUT ON THE CONDITION YOU OPEN THE DOOR, ASK HIM IN - how you do it and what you say is between and The Messiah and you, so speak to Him, cry out to Him - HE IS THE FAITHFUL SHEPHERD LET HIM TAKE THE LEAD!

If you feel led to take this step and want to ask anything of me please feel free to do so I will answer to the best of my abilities.

Now back to the questions  - 

• Do you consider yourself to be walking in Covenant with Messiah Yeshua?
  

• Do you TRUST Yeshua?
  

• Do you consider your body to now belong to you or to The Messiah? Read 1 Cor 7:3-5 arw Eph 5:28-32 and Rom 12:1 and 1 Cor 6:15-20 - remember we are talking Marriage Covenant here.

• If your body, in your considered opinion, now belongs to the Messiah would that mean that He has sole authority over your body? (remember His Ruach [Spirit] lives in your body now - Col 1:8-15 see that Yeshua has "having spoiled principalities and powers.. meaning that they have no say over us if we are in Him).

• If He has sole authority over your body and indeed your entire being, existance, all needs and destiny would you ever need to go to another authority in any matter at all involving you in any way - you now being His Betrothed and His resposibility because after all HE IS YHWH RAPHA  - OUR HEALER?

• If you are His through a Covenant of Betrothal would you ever even consider do anything against His will which would include going to another authority or putting something into your body (Temple) which displeases Him - OR would you be attempting to draw closer to Him in TRUST and OBEDIENCE? 

(2 Cor 6:14-7:1 - unfortunately because it was decided by man that we were no longer under The Law - The very Marriage Covenant of YHWH our Elohim it has been taught that this Covenant has been done away with including the prohibitions of mixing what The Bible tells us is unclean and not for human use and is offensive to our Husband to be - Lev 11 and mixing Lev 19:19; Deut 22:11 which also make one unclean and which Sha'ul, when penning 2 Cor 6:14-7:1 from Is 52:11-12 I beleive was expounding on.) 

Before we go to the summary please consdier what I am going to say now this very carefully - Just because something does not make sense to us DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT IS WRONG AND NOW WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO IT OUR WAY! 55:6-11; Prov 3:5-8.

Here now is a summary thus far of my take from my prayer, research and observations regarding the present COV!D I9 "movement" and ensuing "medical procedures". You all decide.

• We may not gather to worhip - unless we get the procedure as prescribed - sounds like Pharaoh when Moshe wanted to take the People into the Wilderness to worship YHWH.
• We are moving towards not being permitted to buy, sell, do business unless we have the "procure" and proof of it - sounds very similar to the warning that Yeshua gave us in Mat 6:24-33 knowing what was to come in the Rev 13:16-18 event.
• A procudure which pumps very dangerous, poisoniousand seemingly largely unknown sustances into our Holy Temples.
• A procedure, if accepted, will require an agreement with those pushing the procedure, which appears to be patiently unscriptural on all fronts.
• A procedure which is said to cause sterility in both men and women.
  
• A procedure which causes the taker to rely on man or material "things / possessions" to define ones quality of life and by implication and association show the taker does not trust, depend and wait on The Creator Elohim to determine what He requires for the taker and then denies the chance for Creator - our Betrothed - and Him alone to meet the takers specific need!
• *A procedure being adminstered via a "blood-letting" method into our "blood", blood in which we are told the unique and Spirit breathed gift of LIFE - a gift of LIFE which The Creator gave to each as a unique Betrothal Gift from His Very Breath. Even if this blood-letting is caused by a very small pin-prick - BLOOD IS LET!
• Now if we weigh up the actions required to accept this procedurehow do they balance out? - You dear reader please decide because we are called to be light and salt and a sign to the Nations in these time Mat 5:13-16 -
  FAITH is the tangible and visable evidence of something believed in, relied upon, trusted in and acted out as a response of such belief and trust!    
• I believe it is also safe to say that weighing this procedure and the frame of mind required to accept it against Heb 11:6 as translated in the CJB that "without TRUSTING it is impossible to be well pleasing to Elohim, because whoever approaches Him must TRUST that He does exist and that He becomes a rewarder to those who seek Him out."...one could be forgiven in saying that accepting this procedure  (the pinprick pushing the unclean "stuff" into your Temple") WOULD NOT BE ACCEPTABLE TO OUR ELOHIM IN ANY WAY!
  

Again there is more which can be said here but I hope I have made my point regarding this matter thus I will stop and just state that because of what I have written here has led me to conclude that the taking of this "medical procedure" is not Biblical (hopefully by using these overt and clumbsy mis-spellings and  references I can avoid the cyber spies - Mat 10:16) and that is my resoning for referring to this blog as COV!D I9 Covenant because that is what I believe we enter into if we allow this "procedure" to be applied.

I am well aware of the fact that we are in very difficult and troubling times, times we all knew would have to come, I too am aware of the fact that we are being called upon to make very difficult decisions, decisions which will not only affect us as individuals but also as families, communities - in fact every aspect of our lives as we know them. I pray that YHWH will give us clarity, wisdom and COURAGE in these timesthat we can one day hear from our Messiah and King - "Well done my good and faithful servant."

Abba willing I shall attempt to send out more blogs on what Scripture tells us about how to navigate these end times.

We all to some or other degree have an idea of what The Will of Abba is, but we do not have a very clear idea of The Path we are required to walk - hopefully we can seek Yeshua and His Guidance as we begin to have our minds renewed so that we will, by His Grace and Mercy, develop and received a circumcised heart with the mind of Yeshua - Phil 2:4-7; 1 Cor 2:6-16 and Roms 12:2. 

Additionally just as YHWH our Elohim revealed His return journey through Messiah and His Covenant of Redemption back to a fullness of "Divine Matrimony" via progressive revelation so He leads us in similar progressive cycles of Revelation and this COV!D I9 scenario in my opinion may be just such a case - this may be a step towards the final 666.

That having been said  I fear we will not make the cut with our Western Humanistic and emotionally unstable Mindset and we shall have to develop that of The Messiah Who sees' eternity, and I pray for each of us that we all may also come to the understanding that Sha'ul did in 1 Cor 2:9 - "But as it has been written, “Eye has not seen, and ear has not heard, nor have entered into the heart of man what Elohim has prepared for those who love Him” and "To live is MESSIAH and to die is gain!" Phil 1:21-22

Please once again please do not just take what I have said at face value, if you feel moved by it then do your own prayful research - please do not trust me - Trust in YHWH our Elohim - I to am His Bondservant trying to find my way home.
