THE MIX AND SHIFT

Those of you who are in our WhatsApp group will see that we this morning we have been discussing His Name and the subject of "mixing", I hope to pen something on this subject now, but , Abba willing, I also wish to add to that the topic of apathy - "BACKSLIDING!"

However before we begin proper I feel the need to draw our attention to Deut. 10:12-13 and Deut. 32:46-47 - THE TORAH WAS GIVEN TO US FOR OUR OWN GOOD BECAUSE IT IS LIFE TO US! 

But once again before I start a small testimony if I may: 

A brother in Messiah, not privy to our WhatsApp group or anything I have written or am planning to write today (until after this phone when he was added at his own request to our WhatsApp group should he be able to get a wi-fi link sorted out) has just phoned me and asked that I please help him because the Kahilah he is in asked him to explain the Leviticus Scriptures that talk of "NOT MIXING CERTAIN THINGS" (Lev. 19:19 arw Deut. 22:9-11).

Allow me please to explain what I believe these particular Scriptures to mean:

Remember, there are no trick questions in the Torah, and there is really only one answer to every question AND THAT IS YESHUA! The entire Torah (Instructions / Covenant) is there for our own good and to give us Life because THE ENTIRE TORAH POINTS TO YESHUA, (See Mat. 1:21 - H3091 - Yehoshua - YHWH SAVES, SETS FREE, PROTECTS, HELPS, RESCUES, BRINGS SALVATION, VICTORY - where as the Name Jesus is simply a transliteration of His Proper Name no doubt introduced with the best of intentions, BUT still not His proper Biblical Name).

Reading Lev. 19:19 it begins with: "You shall keep my statutes." It then goes on to tell us not to mix cattle (H929 - bhemah - a dumb beast, especially any large quadruped or animal (often collectively): - beast, cattle) in breeding (Gender KJV - H7250 - raba - lie  or squat (specifically) in copulation) with a diverse kind (H3610 - Kilayim - dual of H3608 - kele - prison, restricted, separated; diverse seeds) - 

So what we are told here in the first section of Lev. 19:19 is that we are to keep the Laws of YHWH then immediately we are instructed not to mix the seed of any animals - the next part of the verse tells us not to mix seeds in our fields - why? We are to keep the seeds apart as at Creation and as an example of everything in it's own set apart and correct order.

Finally we are told in verse 19 literally translated not to place a garment on us which is made of a material woven from both linen and wool!

This material is made from two different living seeds - one from Linen a plant seed (which the High Priest and Priests garments are made from - with absolutely no seed mix at all Ex. 28 - this points again to our High Priest Yeshua and His Priests) and wool, an animal seed!

Remember the Trees in the Garden, One the Tree of Life - PURE SEED & then the tree of the knowledge of good & EVIL - MIXED SEED! YHWH'S WAY'S AND the serpents ways!

So it is pretty obvious, remaining in the context of us keeping and living out His Instructions WHICH ARE GIVEN TO US TO HELP US SEPARATE THE HOLY (That set aside for His use) FROM THE PROFANE (that which is an abomination to Him BECAUSE IT IS EVERYTHING BUT FROM HIS SEED (YESHUA) ALONE - see Lev. 19:2 & Eze. 44:23 talking about the Priests of Zadok - Eze. 44:15 in the millennium - remember we are through Messiah Yeshua a Chosen Generation, a Royal Priesthood,  A HOLY (SET ASIDE FOR HIS USE) TO SEPERATE THE HOLY FROM THE PROFANE).

Keeping in context with the theme of not mixing seed, Lev. 19:20 goes straight into the copulation of Humans NOT IN COVENANT - NOT SET ASIDE FOR HIS USE!

WE MUST REMEMBER THAT SOMETHING THAT IS NOT OF A PERFECT SEED CANNOT BE OF YHWH THEREFORE CANNOT BE BLESSED BY HIM - THAT IS WHY YESHUA HAD TO DIE FOR US SO THAT HE COULD BECOME A NEW CREATION THROUGH WHOM WE DIE TO OURSELVES AND MAY BECOME ONE WITH HIM AGAIN SHOULD WE PERSEVERE TO THE END! REV. 2&3

If we look at Deut. 22:9-12 we see a similar topic of the seeds and their mixing addressed by YHWH through Moshe:

In this section it even says that we should not plough with and ox and an ass - here we take the concept of not mixing different seed in the same yoke because it cannot work, Sha'ul does a midrash on this very portion when he speaks of being unevenly yoked with unbelievers and more in 2 Cor. 6:14-7:1 because all those participating in these examples are of different seed - NOT THE PERFECT SINGLE AND SET APART SEED OF YHWH, BUT THE SEED OF THE TREE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL AND A HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF WILL FAIL! Mark 3:20-30

There is a further teaching aid, which all the above obviously also are, & like the rest this too is a visual aid, BUT an aid we are called on to make ourselves as commanded by YHWH Elohim, an aid woven in amongst these Torah of not mixing seed, animals, cloth etc - See Deut. 22:12 - 

THOU SHALT MAKE THEE FRINGES UPON THE FOUR CORNERS OF THY VESTURE  WHEREWITH THY COVER THYSELF 

Now see Numbers 15:32-41 - A rebellious Sabbath breaker is stoned to death on the instructions of YHWH, then YHWH spoke to Moshe and told him (Moshe) to tell the people (seems both male and female) to make Fringes (Tassels, Tzit Tzit) and place them on the 4 corners of their garments for all generations to come so that they could look upon them and remember the Commandments (H4687 - mitzvah - commandments, human or divine (collectively the LAW).

There is more and deeper meanings in these verses, but I hope for now that these will suffice  - YWHW ELOHIM HAS GIVEN US SO MANY, MANY VISUAL EXAMPLES WHICH WE ARE TO APPLY TO EVERY DAY LIFE SO THAT BY DOING THEM WE WILL BE SET APART FROM THE WORLD, DIFFERENT TO THE WORLD FOR HIS USE; AND WHEN WE APPLY THESE COMMANDMENTS (MITZVOT - plural Mitzvah) THOUGHTFULLY AND WITH ATTENTION BY GUARDING & KEEPING HIS WORD (YESHUA HIMSELF) WE BEGIN TO BECOME ONE WITH YESHUA , AND EACH TIME WE APPLY THESE INSTRUCTIONS (like looking at labels when we buy clothes, watching what we plant in our gardens, checking labels for kosher food or food not mixed with GM's, keeping His Sabbath apart from Sundown to Sundown, putting on our Tzit-Tzits etc) WE ARE REMINDED OF YHWH AND HIS LAW AND COMMANDMENTS WHICH HAVE SET US ASIDE FOR HIM, AND ULTIMATELY WE SEE YESHUA AND REMEMBER HIM REPEATEDLY THROUGHOUT OUR BUSY DAYS!

It is when we begin to overlook these commandments, or apply them quickly and routinely that we begin to grow cold and backslide.

Like the Assembly of Laodicea, it is when we are comfortable and believing we are so entrenched in YHWH's will that we often become of no use to HIM, we proclaim with our mouths, but our hearts are far from Him because our works are not inspired by His Ruach, but rather by our traditions and humanistic reactions to His Word! 1 Cor. 10:12 - this section is all about the fall of our forefathers during the Exodus and after!  Mat. 15:1-20 - has nothing to do with unkosher food, but rather with the weightier matters of the Torah, that of Love - YHWH Elohim with everything and our Brother as ourselves!

And what is Love?

Obeying His Commandments as inspired by His Ruach!

Stop doing this and we are already falling into a backslidden position.

To end with please allow me to give a few Testimonies on this matter of mixing which when allowed will lead to a position of backsliding:

In 2007 we were in a Kahilah, we were praising and worshiping with ordinary Church Gospel Music, and the Name Jesus and God and LORD were abounding. I was instructed by the Ruach to walk out of the Assembly; Zanja and I were brand-new there:w When the praise and worship ceased I was sent back into the assembly with the instruction to tell them that Yeshua was not pleased with this music from the Churches singing to Jesus. I was shocked, shy and very nervous, but I had heard the Ruach, so I said what I was to say. The facilitator thanked me profusely and said that the Ruach had been telling him that for a while already but he did not know how to implement the instruction to cease with the usual Gospel Music they all used.

Around that same time the Ruach started to reveal to me the massive difference between whom Yeshua and Jesus was; the unbridgeable difference between the Churches and The Messianic Assemblies, however I had not had an opening to yet speak on this matter with our Kahilah. The one day at our Shabbat service  it arrived, we were all asked by one of the Kahilah if we would go to an evangelist outreach on the Sabbath. I refused and shared my testimony of the Mixing of the church system, it caused quite a bit of contention, but Zanja and I did not go. On the return of the group I was told that I had been correct, and that the group by-en-large joined in with the church groups, bought food, sang their hymns and so forth and was not in any way recognisable as a Messianic Shabbat group.

On one occasion we were invited to a well know South African Dance Ministry with affiliates here in Namibia. We were led to believe that they were Messianic, as some of the Messianic group danced with them. They used all the flags and Messianic Music etc. Zanja and I went with others from our group, however immediately upon our arrival I began to feel very uneasy in my spirit, but I listened to what they had to say as they spoke of Jesus coming for His Bride at the Rapture, Christian takes from the Book Revelation, they spoke of their upcoming Sukkot festival which was for the Jews but would be good for the Church to also partake of; I then proceeded to watch a dance done by a group of men and women with different colour flags and so forth. I could by this time no longer sit under this group. I went outside and earnestly began to pray, I was shown a thick twisted rope, but the rope had only two cords to it. I asked Abba what it meant -HIS ANSWER: THEY TAKE WAHT THEY WANT FROM THE TORAH AND FESTIVALS AND MIX IT WITH WHAT THEY BELIEVE FROM THE NEW TESTAMENT AND MAKE THEIR OWN GOSPEL - It was then that I heard that they were calling people to the communion table, I rushed inside and asked Zanja to please not partake of this communion as it was not of YHWH - SHE CAME OUT. Once again the group were very upset and the leadership would not heed my warnings about what YHWH had shown me because they had good friends amongst this group. This group I was with splintered and exists no longer!

Zanja and I went to get a Pizza one evening, whilst waiting for the Pizza we went to a video shop next door to see what was on show. We entered the video shop and as we walked around I began to feel more and more uneasy, I could not understand why. I then heard something on the TV, they had a video playing, I asked the young lady what the video was about, she answered it was a very good video / DVD about the Gospel of Judas - and abominable mix - WE WALKED OUT!

There is much more but I hope this suffices for now, I just needed to speak out about the dangers of mixing and backsliding: THE CHURCH OF LAODICEA WAS A TORAH KEEPING ASSEMBLY, BUT THEIR LUKEWARMNESS BETRAYED THE ATTITUDES OF THEIR HEARTS HAVING SEEMINGLY MORE LOVE FOR THE THINGS OF THE WORLD THAN THOSE OF MESSIAH - THEY HAD LOST THEIR FIRST LOVE, IN FACT LOST THEIR WAY AND GOTTEN INVOLVED IN THE RICHES OF THE WORLD AND IT WAYS; THEY BECOME MASSIVELY RELIGIOUS. THEY WERE MIXING THEIR LIFE CHOICES AND THUS HAD BACKSLIDDEN TO SUCH AN EXTENT THAT YHWH YESHUA HAD TO WARN THEM THAT HE WOULD SPEW THEM OUT IF THEY DID NOT REPENT!

With only 9 days to go to Shavuot (Pinkster, Pentecost) how are we doing in guarding and protecting His Word imparted to us?

Read and test all that I have said here please, I too am just a man trying to find his way home.
