Answers to a sister in Messiah.

I am penning this blog in response to comments that were sent this morning regarding the teachings that I have posted and taught on Blood Line Curses and the position of the woman in the Messianic community regarding their authority to teach men.

This is in no way an attack on the person who posted these comments as I welcome comments posted in a constructive and mature fashion – that is how we are able to learn from each other and at the same time remain accountable to each other; so this is merely my attempt to rectify what I believe are teachings built on the incorrect applications of the Word of YHWH, BUT never the less these particular teachings, which I believe could very easily, if not rectified, cause massive division and misleading within the Body of Messiah in these critical and dangerous end times must be addressed forth-rightly and honestly.

I need at the very outset to expel a grievous concept that is being so misused by the RCC and her “Ecumenical” daughters, the denominations – this of UNITY WITHIN THE BODY FOR THE SAKE OF PEACE, BUT AT THE EXPENSE OF SOUND DOCTRINE: THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE - Mat. 10:34-39 makes that point abundantly clear I believe!

I do agree with the one posting the comments that behind many successful men there are good women, I believe that to be Scriptural – BUT THAT IN NO WAY GIVES THE WIFE OR WOMAN INVOLVED IN THIS ACTION OF ASSISTANCE/GUIDENACE THE AUTHORITY TO OVER-RIDE THE ELOHIM GIVEN AUTHORITY OF THE MAN AND FORCE HIM TO DO AS SHE WISHES – BRETHREN THAT IS THE SPIRIT OF JEZEBEL!  1 Kings 16:31ff

We need to understand that any works done by any person, male or female, no matter how noble the intentions may be, BUT WHICH ARE NOT GROUNDED IN THE WORD AS LED BY THE RUACH OF YHWH, ARE SEEN AS FILTHY RAGS IN HIS SIGHT, simply because without the leading of The Ruach WE CANNOT KNOW WHAT HIS WAYS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE; OUR FLESH IS IN ABSOLUTE EMNITY AND REBELLION AGAINST HIS RUACH! Is. 64:6; Is. 55:6-9 arw Mat. 6:25-34; Rom. 8:5-8.

I need to stop here for a moment and address a very delicate subject, and that is the description used by The Ruach in Is. 64:6 to describe our works done without the Ruach:

“And all of us have become as one unclean, and all our righteousness are as soiled rags……” The Scriptures – emphasis added by me.

Here we see that The Ruach makes the analogy of a woman during her monthly cycles who is unclean to enter the Tabernacle/Temple – BECAUSE THE BLOOD FLOW SHE EXPERIENCES DURING THESE CYCLES IS THE SIGN OF DEATH – SHE CANNOT CONCEIVE AND MAY NOT HAVE INTERCOURSE WITH HER HUSBAND DURING THESE TIMES, BUT THE LIFE CYCLE IN HER IS RE-NEWED AGAIN IN THE NORMAL COURSE OF THESE CYCLES, JUST LIKE HAPPENS TO THE MOON WHEN IT IS RENEWED, AND as is referred to the “Re-Newed” Covenant – NOT A NEW ONE THAT ABRIDGED THE OLD, BUT A RENEWING OF THE ORIGINAL (Lev. 12:2; 12:4; 20:18; Eze. 36:17-29(a) – Israel is compared to a woman in her “uncleanliness” and is thus scattered to the Nations BUT YHWH, IN THE END TIMES, WILL REDEEM HER (US) AND CLEAN HER (ISRAEL, US – Rom. 11:11ff and Eph 2:11ff) THROUGH THE WATER OF HIS WORD; HE WILL CHANGE OUR HARDENED HEARTS TO HEARTS OF FLESH AND PUT HIS SPIRIT INTO US SO THAT WE WILL WALK IN HIS LAWS (TORAH) AND GUARD (KEEP AND PROTECT) HIS COMMANDMENTS –AND WE SHALL DO THEM! NB: THIS IS THE PROMISE OF THE NEW COVENANT GIVEN TO ISRAEL AND JUDAH NOT TO SOME GENTILE CHRISTIAN CHURCH – JER. 31:31-34 AND THAT TOO IS LOVE John 14:15; 14:23 - SEE UNDER PLEASE!

To further illustrate this analogy (because some of us, those who will overcome and perseveres to the end, will later be His Bride –  Mat. 24:12-13; 2 Tim. 4:7-8; Rev. 2:25-28) The Ruach uses the words “soiled rags” – soiled = (H5708 – ed – from an unused root meaning to set a period; the menstrual flux; by implication (in plural) soiling:- filthy) & rags = (H899 – beged – from H898; a covering; that is, clothing; also .. rag etc).

I hope we are able to see the massive implications of this verse and what YHWH thinks of our own works regardless of who we be or may be in the future!

I know many site the Scriptures that say we are now no longer Jew - Greek, Slave – Free; Rich – Poor; Please see the link to posted at the top for a short explanation of this topic (http://theshofarblows-steve.blogspot.com/2016/09/just-thought-who-did-eve-chavah.html) – however here are points of note:

The responder to my teachings uses Galatians (received and penned by Sha’ul – Paul) to defend that men and women are the same now (Gal. 3:28) – this Epistle was thought to have been written in about CE 48: Similarly 2 Cor. 5:17, also used to bolster this claim of “equality” and switching of roles between men and women within the designated and created positions of the genders in the “New Testament Church” of Jesus Christ, (also received by Sha’ul - Paul) was thought to have been written in about CE 47 – yet 1 Tim. 3:1-13 which very clearly designates the gender and qualifications of an Elder or Deacon AND HIS WIFE & supported by Titus 1:5-16 (both also received from The Ruach by Sha’ul – Paul) were only received in about CE 54 & 56 respectively – that is after the penning of Galatians and 2 Corinthians – so how could Sha’ul say in earlier Epistles (Galatians and 2 Corinthians) that men and woman are now interchangeable in roles and what-ever else, to only later return to the Torah teaching which gives man the mandated creation authority over his Wife?

Such an assumption would be ludicrous as it makes of Sha’ul a false teacher and a liar & liable for death and at the same time would under cut the pinions of almost the entire New Testament Churches teachings based on the “Word of Paul”! Deut. 13:1ff, 2 Pet. 3:15-17

We also have Epistles containing verses such as those found in 1 Peter 3:1-7 which links the wives action to those of Sarah of the Torah and further instructs says that men must protect and give honour to their wives as the weaker vessel – AND THESE WERE WRITTEN MORE THAN A DECADE AFTER Galatians and Corinthians! Now let us deal with the assumption that divorced or widowed women may possibly be able to assume a more masculine role within the Body. This argument too I am afraid does not carry water as once again we see in 1 Timothy and Titus 1 THAT ANY DIVINELY ESTABLISHED KAHILAH (ASSEMBLY) MUST HAVE MALE ELDERS AND DEACONS IN CHARGE, therefore if a divorcee or widow should be led to join a Kahilah, there will of necessity be a male in charge.

Now please understand that I do not in any way advocate that a divorcee or widow’s house etc should fall under the authority of that elder or deacon – BUT SHOULD THAT LADY BE LED TO JOIN AN ORDAINED KAHILAH (ASSEMBLY), OBVIOUSLY SHE SHALL NEED TO CONDUCT HERSELF ACCORDINGLY (1 Tim. 5:2ff – see Sha’ul in this portion of Scripture even admonishes younger women to marry and Titus 2:3-5 where in 1 Cor. 7 he advises against marriage and to rather be celibate) and in my opinion the Word is very clear and once again negates the argument that women will take on the role of men and thus teach men!

This person also stated that we now have FREEDOM IN MESSIAH AND IT SEEMS THAT THIS PERSON ADOPTS THE ERRONIOUS CONCLUSION THAT THIS FREEDOM MAY MEAN THAT WE CAN DO ANYTHING WE WANT!

No we cannot do all that we now want to, please see above (Is. 64:6 and Rom. 6: 1-2, Rom. 8:1ff arw 1 John 3:4). That curse which was attached or nailed to the cross (Stake) and taken away by Messiah and as spoken of in Col. 2:13-15 WAS THE PENALTY OF DEATH WHICH WE HAVE INCURRED THROUGH OUR SINS (sins caused precisely by doing what we want to - following our flesh) – IT WAS NEVER THE MARRIAGE COVENANT OF YESHUA THAT WAS TAKEN AWAY! I have written ad nauseam on this matter, please refer to the blogs of this site.

I need to once again address the issue of Biblical Love – IT IS VERY, VERY SIMPLE – IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FEELINGS – BUT EVERYTHING TO DO WITH OBEYING THE COMMANDMENTS OF YESHUA AND HIS FATHER AND TRUSTING THAT HE WILL WORK THINGS OUT ACCORDING TO HIS WILL WHILST WE OBEY, PROTECT AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS – HIS TORAH, HIS MARRIAGE COVENANT.

I hope that this makes sense, I know it is once again a very emotive and charged issue we have addressed today, but that does not make it any less relevant, in fact if anything obeying the Word of Messiah, as He is the Never Changing Word of YHWH WHO SHOWS US WHAT ABBA IS LIKE, will bring us freedom in these times of trial and massive tribulations.

And to my responder in this matter, please do not think I have anything at all against you, but as a member of the family of Messiah it is my responsibility to address where I believe a situation or matter needs to be addressed, just as you have rightfully done with me; and please, please do not assume to believe or know that – I AM THREATENED BY STRONG WILLED LADIES. I AM MARRIED TO ONE AND I CERTAINLY AM NOT THREATENED AT ALL, ASK ALL WHO KNOW ME.

So that all being said, I must state in summation that the argument, that this person I have now answered poses as a basis for objection to my teachings on the matters addressed, is not in my opinion acceptable or Biblical. 

Once again please all who read what I have penned, please do so with a Bible in hand and your eyes focused on Messiah and His Ruach to lead and guide you, as I too am a man trying to find his way home, and let us all be warned that cursed is he (or she) who trusts in the arm of flesh and is led away from Messiah and His Covenant. Just a thought: WHO DID EVE (CHAVAH) REPRESENT?

I am so incredibly thankful to YHWH Elohim that HE, in HIS Sovereign Authority, Mercy and Grace re-introduced my house and I to His Covenant, His Torah as applied and lived through our redeemer and King Yeshua.

One of the many, and I mean many, gifts that I have received through this revelation is being brought back to the childlike simplicity of His Word and The Doctrine of Messiah Yeshua. I no longer have to search the whole Word blindly, grievously fast and pray or jump through imaginary hoops to find out about something. I need now on most occasions to just go back to The Root, The Torah, His Marriage Covenant and look there for an answer and a direction. If I am unable to show something out of the Torah THEN MY POINT OF THEOLOGY I WISH TO PROVE IS INCORRECT, A MOOT POINT.

So just now, whilst thinking & praying over a double rebuttal that was offered in respect of my teachings regarding the role of the women in The Body of Messiah and the "Doctrine of Generational Curses", and preparing my answer to the said, this though came to mind:

WHAT DID THE CREATION OF CHAVAH (EVE) FORE-SHADOW?

Here is how I understand that portion of Scripture:

I see that Adam was created in the Image of YHWH Elohim and out of Him YHWH Elohim drew and created his wife, his helper and life companion, to assist and to a large part, to enable him (Adam) to rule over creation. Gen. 2:18. 

Here we have the institution of the Sabbath (7th day - not Sunday) which represents the solemn sign of the Marriage Covenant foreshadowing the Rest and Rule in, through and with Yeshua from Creation and Kingdom works. Gen. 2:1-3 arw Ex. 31:12-17.

We have the introduction of The Heavenly template (foreshadowing) of the Marriage of Yeshua (here fore-shadowed by an as yet sinless Adam) to His Bride Israel (foreshadowed by an as yet sinless Chavah) with the sole purpose of ruling together over Creation (The Kingdom of YHWH Elohim) both being under the established Authority (The Word) of YHWH Elohim.

We see also that as with Yeshua, the second Adam, Who was given all authority- 

(Mat. 28:18 - after having REDEEMED THE FALLEN BRIDE -  THE 12 TRIBES OF ISRAEL/CHAVAH (EVE)/GOMAR (Hos. 3:1-5) BECAUSE THE FIRST ADAM CAUSED US TO BE CURSED, YESHUA BECAME OUR CURSE, OUR SIN BY TAKING IT ONTO HIMSELF, HIM WHO WAS, IS AND SHALL ALWAYS BE THE PERFECT LAMB OF ELOHIM, TOOK ALL THE SIN OF MANKIND ONTO HIMSELF AND THUS HAD TO BE HIMSELF CURSED AS MAN WAS CURSED THROUGH ADAM - 1 Cor. 15 - please take time to read this entire chapter; Gal. 3:3:13 arw Deut. 21:23; 1 Pt. 2:21-24 arw Is. 53) 

- the first ADAM was given all Authority over Creation as evidenced by his right to name not only all the animals of the Creation BUT also His Wife - AND THEN BY DIVINE REVELATION OF YHWH ELOHIM WE ARE FURTHER SHOWN HIS FORESHADOWING OF YESHUA AND ACCOMPANYING DIVINE AUTHORITY WHEN HE (ADAM) IS GIVEN DIVINE REVELATION OF THE MARRIAGE AND IT'S PUPOSE IN ELOHIM'S KINGDOM (GARDEN), which as we all know IS THE PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL REALITY OF HUMAN MARRIAGES WHICH ARE FOUNDED AND MAINTAINED IN HIS NAME AND ACCORDING TO HIS WILL! Gen. 2:15; 19-20; 23-24.  

This "mystery" is further unravelled by the reading of Eph. 5:21 where we see the submission required of both husbands and wives to one another out of respect for Elohim - BUT this is what I wish to focus on: Eph. 5:22-32 with special emphasis applied to Eph. 5:30-32 which is a midrash (a study) applied by Sha'ul going back to Gen. 2:24

"For we are members of HIS Body, of HIS Flesh, and of HIS Bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall become one. This is the great mystery: but I speak concerning Messiah and the Assembly."  KJV. Emphasis added by me.

So here is my thought:- 

• If the first Adam, before the fall, was a foreshadowing of Messiah Yeshua and HIS Role in Creation; 
• Adams's wife, Chavah was created as a foreshadowing of Messiah's Bride and her role in Creation to assist her husband in his allotted task;
• And Chavah (Eve) was created out of Adam, who at that stage was still Created in the image of YHWH Elohim and had not yet fallen into sin;
• The Creation Marriage was before the Fall thus still in a perfect sinless environment - an environment we are being brought back to now by Yeshua, the 2nd Adam;
• And Eph 5 makes an exacting case that the Marriage between a man and a wife is linked back to The Genesis account of His Created and perfected Marital Institution;

THEN HOW CAN WE SAY TODAY THAT THE WOMAN HAS THE ROLE AND AUTHORITY OF MESSIAH IN THE MARRIAGE AND THAT SHE NOW MAY RULE OVER HER HUSBAND?

Heaven forbid, that would mean that we who are born again today and are set-part to be members of His Body may now rule over Messiah and tell Him what the Father says and requires of HIM!

This is exactly what we are seeing in the flesh today, only we call it different names like Homosexuality, Lesbianism, Transgender and what is the other one called - mistaken identity when a man is born in a woman's body and visa-versa? 

This is supposedly acceptable and we are "loving" and "Christ-like" if we accept these abominations, even the denominations tell us that we need to "find the pink in ourselves" - MESSIAH YESHUA TOOK THE PINK OUT OF ME AND PLACED IT IN ZANJA THROUGH HIS RUACH SO ZANJA AND I ARE NOW ONE AS HE HAS JOINED US TOGETHER TO DO HIS WORK IN HIS KINGDOM - BUT WE DO NOT HOLD THE SAME STATIONS IN LIFE AS SOME CLAIM Gal. 3:28 SAYS - This is evidenced by a reading of Rom. 10:12 - which is also written by Sha'ul (Paul)!

SO HERE IS MY TAKE ON THE EXCLUSIVITY OF THE SIMPLE WORD OF YHWH: 

We have just placed ourselves OUTSIDE THE WORD AND in-between Messiah and His Father and made ourselves the mediators - AND THAT MAKES US JEZEBEL RIDING ON THE COAT TAILS OF THE  KING OF ISRAEL AND USURPING HIS AUTHORITY FOR HER GAIN - NOT THE HUMBLE, CHASTE, LOVING, TORAH KEEPING BRIDE OF YESHUA AND THERE IN WE FIND THE SPIRIT PREVALENT IN THE DENOMINATIONS AND THE WORLD & THAT IS THE SPIRIT WE ARE TO REPENT OF, BE SET APART FROM AND REMOVE OURSELVES FROM!

Please think this through, there is so much more that I can write and explain, but lets keep it simple and childlike, because to such belongs the Kingdom of Heaven! Mark 10:13-16

Sliding into Humanism!

On the heals of my recent mail dealing with the sanctimony of divinely instituted Kahilah’s (Assemblies), which I have now decided to post with a slight revision on my blog page under the heading “Beware who you allow into your Kahilah”, it is my intention, Abba willing, to send out another mail in a similar vein.

Part of my calling is “TO PREPARE THE WAY FOR THOSE TO COME” Is. 62:10 - and in an attempt to fulfil that calling I believe it is necessary to address the current global status quo as and when required and warn His people as per Is. 62:11; we are called to measure everything against the revealed Word of YHWH - THE WORD IS NEVER TO FIT CIRCUMSTANCES - CIRCUMSTANCES MUST FIT THE WORD - but it is unfortunate that we all have dallied in the world systems our entire lives and so feasted on a diet of the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, blessings and curses (Amp.) that we are incapable of separating the fruits, and in actuality are unable to even live on a diet consisting entirely of The Fruit of The Tree of Life, and that is why we are to be LED OUT OF EGYPT INTO THE PROMISED LAND BY THE RUACH OF YESHUA - WE ARE NOT TO ATTEMPT TO LEAVE EGYPT OR ENTER HIS PROMISED LAND BY OUR OWN METHODS, PLANS OR DEVICES - WE WILL DIE - LET HIM LEAD, HE IS OUR HEAD!

We are in this world and we are not going to get away from the circumstances controlling the societies, economies and political climates in which we live right now and thus we, as Believers and members of the Body of Messiah, are CALLED TO BE A LIGHT IN THIS DARK AND DESOLATED WORLD OF DEATH in these times of the fulfilment of the Messianic end-time Prophecy. Is. 60:1-2

We, if we are to be a Disciple and Bond-servants of Yeshua, are called to teach ALL THE NATIONS what Yeshua HAS COMMANDED / REVEALED TO US AND HE WILL BE WITH US ALWAYS, EVEN UNTO THE END OF THE WORLD - AMEIN! - We were never instructed to teach what the Nations espouse under the mantle of The Gospel of Yeshua mixed with humanism for the sake of Political Correctness: that Humanism is a gross perversion of His Gospel and is what the enemy planned initially in the Garden! Mat. 28:19; Gen. 3:4-5.

To be able to accomplish this task of bringing the light to the Nations as mandated by Yeshua a few Biblical Criteria will need to be complied with. 

• We shall first and fore-mostly need to be have repented of our sins (breaking of Torah 1 John 3:4) through Messiah Yeshua. John 3:3-8
• We need to have been called by Yeshua: There are many that operate in The Kingdom in areas which they are not called or authorised to work in. Mat. 1:18-22; Acts 19:13-16.   
• We need to have accepted His call and come into Covenant with Messiah Yeshua through the Revelation of The Father. Mat. 11:25-30; Mat. 16:17. 
• We are required to pick up our stake and follow Him, we need to deny ourselves and present Yeshua and His Word. Luke 9:22-26 - To say that we are to obey the Government, world systems and organised man ordained religions which do not comply with His Word does not fit with the Scripture just quoted from the Gospel of Luke - and to reason otherwise is circular thinking. Rom. 1:16-17.

If you are interested in seeing what the Gospel is not and what we are not to teach the Nations then have a look at what the UN and our Governments are preaching and introducing into our societies with alarming regularity and impunity.

Here is a fact that you can bank on - NOTHING BUILT ON A FOUNDATION OF FALSEHOOD, NO MATTER HOW INNOCENT OR UNINTENTIONAL, WILL REMAIN WHEN PLACED UNDER PRESSURE! Mat. 7:24-29 (read the preceding Beatitudes because this is what Yeshua is admonishing us to build on - and included within this Foundation we are to build on is Mat. 5:17-20 - confirmation of the authenticity and eternity of The Torah and The Prophets i.e. The Tenach (Old Testament).

NB: A side bar here: For those who say that “Jesus” preached a “new” and deeper Gospel through the Sermon on The Mount by saying in Mat. 5:21-22 that “You have heard it said by them of old time…. but I say unto you..”, and I know of those who teach this opinion, please bear with me as I shall address that issue in a more detailed teaching hopefully as a follow-up to this mail/post. 

Brethren we need to be very aware of the fact that we produce for ourselves a very slippery slope when we take away the absolutes of His Covenant (The Torah) and replace them with opinions based on secular theology and Statements of Faith; allow me to just briefly expound on this statement please with a simple yet profound example:

• The Word says WE WILL KEEP THE 7th DAY SABBATH FOR ETERNITY AS A SIGN BETWEEN YHWH AND HIS PEOPLE (Ex. 31:16-17), the Shabbat includes not only the 7th day Sabbath BUT also His Moedim (Lev. 23 Feasts). 
• For Political expedience and with absolutely no Divine Biblical mandate the Church Fathers changed the 7th day Sabbath to Sunday and The “Jewish” Leviticus 23 Feasts to pagan sun-god festivals, which once applied then by necessity needed to negate: 
• The 4th Commandment found in Exodus 20:8-11.
• Which causes us to nullify Deut. 12:29-32 and adopt the pagen idol worship we are vehemently instruct to not follow or even enquire of.  
• Which additionally contravenes the Commandment NOT TO ADD TOO OR SUBTRACT FROM THE WORD OF YHWH again quoted in Deut. 4:2 with the added warning to remember what happened to the people when they did add and subtract to His Covenant in the time of Balaam (Num. 31:16). 
• That in its turn brings us to Prov. 30:5-6 which admonishes us to guard the Pure Word of YHWH because HE (The Word) is a Shield unto them that put their trust in HIM.
• And that if we add to His Pure Word which is His Shield of protection, He will reprove us and we will be found to be liars (Prov. 30:6).
• Which in its turn makes Eph. 6:10-18, which includes the shield of faith and which so many believers pray over religiously, ineffective.
• And penultimately, for this exercise, for adding and subtracting from His Word (from Yeshua Himself) it says in Rev. 22:18-19 we shall be brought  under the curses of the plague, exclusion from the Book of Life and exclusion from The Bride (The Holy City - Rev. 21:9-10) 
• And we are finally warned in Rev. 22:20 that He Whom warns of these things cometh quickly!

I hope you can follow my short and simplified breakdown because here is a link showing where the Church of Jesus Christ has fallen to after having chosen the knowledge of man because it seems good, right, expedient and “loving” above The Word of Truth of YHWH Elohim!

Once again in this op-ed, which is very well written, we see that without a hard and fast eternal vision on which to pin our sites and future WE ARE LOST! Prov. 29:18:

Beware who you allow into your Kahilah.

I have, contrary to popular religious opinion, for a long time been advocating the discontinuance of what I believe to be a destructive and non-Biblical practice, and that is the cessation of just “inviting people off the street into the Kahilah (Assemblies)”.  

Here is a link to a YouTube I have just received from a friend; it is rather interesting and gives a summary of world events; but here is what I found of particular interest in this presentation: The effect that world events are having on the Body of Messiah and our future.

Having made the above statement though, please understand that I in no way advocate a fatalistic fixation of the problems of the world with all its geopolitical mumbo-jumbo, global deceit and financial shenanigans, but I believe absolutely and unequivocally that nothing happens without the Authority of YHWH Elohim having been loaned to it thus whatever I feel led to read, be it secular, political, Biblical or anything else, I need to ask myself “What is Abba trying to show me here?  And when He has shown me, I need to ask myself; “What does Abba want me to do for His Kingdom and Body here on earth?”

The Government systems, regardless of the fact that they may be democratic, socialist, dictatorial, communist or all their in-betweens, cannot possibly accommodate or live in harmony with YHWH’s Kingdom and His Rule as directed by His Ruach and dictated by His Word. The world and all its systems, including organised religions, are humanistic at best and demonic at worst. 

The above having been said not a single one of us can any longer say that the secular governance of our countries do not encroach on our beliefs, morals, values and liberties, regardless of our religious persuasions or lack thereof, and we of The Body of Messiah are being forced underground, and thus we should be very careful that we only work with those that YHWH is asking us to work with otherwise we WILL FIND Mat. 10:34-36 becoming more and more real in these times.

The time to make a choice is more urgent now than it was yesterday, and tomorrow will be exponentially more difficult than today, if we ever even see tomorrow! Deut. 30:15-16, 19-20; Josh. 24:15; Is. 55:6-7; James 4:13-17. 

And the time to make choices affecting your social acquaintances based on feelings and outlandish denominational doctrines too will need to be addressed in haste as the choices you make today may very well impact eternity. Acts 15:19-21 and Jude 1:4-13.

The curses of Generational Curses and Omens!

I know that what I need to address here is going to ruffle many feathers and may place me at variance with others in the Body, but I would not be true to my calling if I allowed something which I believe is in error to be proclaimed as a truth and a doctrine of YHWH and did not challenge it.

I am sure, that as with many, I too have and still do struggle with certain practices & "doctrines" which just do not sit well within my spirit and my understanding of The Word at present, and one of these "doctrines" which has become increasingly popular in these end times is the teaching of "Blood line curses" or "Generational curses" if you wish.

Now I know I am not as eloquent or literary as many and thus find myself accused on occasions of not being sensitive enough or, as I was told during my Police career - I am not "Diplomatic"; but be that as it may that should not prevent me saying, as best and as sensitively as I am able to, what I believe I need to say because, after all is that not we are all called to do and eternity hangs in the scales?

Reading the Parashat for this week (Devarim (Deut.) 16:18 - 21:9 Shofetim - Judges) and looking at a few things I have read during this week I believe that this particular riddle of Generational Curses may have been unravelled for me, hopefully for others reading this blog as well and for purposes of this blog I will draw from Dev. (Deut.) 18:9-14:

"When thou art come into the Land which YHWH thy Elohim giveth thee, thou shall not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. FOR ALL THAT DO THESE THINGS ARE AN ABOMINATION UNTO YHWH: AND BECAUSE OF THESE ABOMINATIONS YHWH THY ELOHIM DOTH DRIVE THEM OUT FROM BEFORE THEE. THOU SHALT BE PERFECT WITH YHWH THY ELOHIM. FOR THESE NATIONS WHICH THOU SHALT POSSESS, HEARKENED UNTO OBSERVERS OF TIMES, AND UNTO DIVINERS: BUT AS FOR THEE, YHWH THY ELOHIM HATH NOT SUFFERED THEE SO TO DO."   KJV

"There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tell fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or a charmer (cast spells) or a medium (channeller) or a necromancer (consults the dead/.ghost/ familiar spirit) for whoever does thes things is an abomination to YHWH…" ESV vs. 10-12 with added descriptions from the various translation for clarity added by the writer.

Although we may honestly believe that we are not at all guilty of any of the abominations listed above I beg to differ.

In this blog I will deal with two practices, alluded to above (some may call them doctrines) which I believe are very much encapsulated in the abominations described in the Scripture noted above.

These two practices are those of firstly - the "breaking of generational / bloodline curses" and the second is "divination by omens".

We all, and in that I include myself, have been subtly drawn into these abominations through the Church and it's religious practices and norms, and thus we are all in dire need of repenting and seeking the forgiveness of YHWH our Elohim through the perfect works and Personage of Messiah Yeshua. Jer 16:19-21

I shall first address the subject of generational curses (some say bloodline curses) and to begin I would need to first go back a little to a Scripture some consider the foundational premise for this teaching of Generational Curses: 

Shemot (Exodus) 20:1-3 (Emphasis added) 

"ELOHIM spoke all these words saying:  (1) I AM YHWH YOUR ELOHIM WHO TOOK YOU OUT FROM THE LAND OF EGYPT, FROM THE HOUSE OF SLAVERY. (2) YOU MUST HAVE NO OTHER ELOHIM BESIDE ME."

The above, in my opinion, give us the First Two Commandments of the Ten given to us as indicated and not the way that we have been taught.

Shemot 20:1-3 above is presented grammatically I have learnt as an absolute imperative, a given, that we MUST accept that YHWH IS WHOM HE CATEGORICALLY SAYS HE IS  BECAUSE HERE YHWH MAKES A STATEMENT OF FACT WHICH IS IN NO WAY NEGOTIABLE, THUS IN MY OPINION IT EQUATES TO A FOUNDATIONAL COMMANDMENT AND AS SUCH ATTRIBUTES TO YHWH THE RIGHT AND AUTHORITY TO TAKE US OUT OF EGYPT - OUT OF SLAVERY, OWNERSHIP BY THE WORLD OF SIN!

THUS TAKING THE ABOVE AS A STATEMENT OF FACT LEADS US TO THE SECOND COMMANDMENT THAT WE MAY NEVER EVER PLACE ANOTHER ELOHIM (H430 - el-o-heem - plural of H433 - Supreme God, judges, magistrates, great, mighty) BEFORE (in His presence; beside (as in next to) Him; before Him in the context of above in authority) HIM!

Now we come to what I consider to be the 3rd Commandment, which as we are all very well aware, is recorded by YHWH Elohim Himself in what we today know as Shemot (Exodus) 20:4-5 & which again I reiterate cannot be kept if we do not accept the first two noted above:

"THOU SHALT NOT MAKE UNTO THEE ANY GRAVEN IMAGE (CARVED/HEWN IMAGE) OR ANY LIKENESS*** OF ANYTHING THAT IS IN HEAVEN ABOVE, OR THAT IS IN THE EARTH BENEATH, OR THAT IS IN THE WATER UNDER THE EARTH: THOU SHALL NOT BOW DOWN THYSELF TO THEM, NOR SERVE THEM: FOR I YHWH THY ELOHIM AM A JEALOUS ELOHIM, VISITING THE INIQUITY OF THE FATHERS UPON THE CHILDREN UNTO THE THIRD AND FOURTH GENERATION OF THEM THAT HATE ME;

*** See below for description of this word.

This is the portion of Scripture many, if not most, base the doctrine of Bloodline Curses on;

I on the other hand can in no way see that what is recorded in Shem. (Ex.) 20:5 can be applied as a "blanket" eternal curse on all of REDEEMED mankind until the third or fourth generation EVEN WHEN THAT PERSON HAS COME TO REBIRTH AND REPENTANCE THROUGH MESSIAH YESHUA for the simple reason that we have all sinned and bowed to idols made of our hands, imaginations, religions and so much more), and some where that cycle has to be broken so that "the blessings to the thousands" can begin. Rom. 3:23-31.

So I am of the opinion that which YHWH recorded in Shem. (Ex.) 20:5 is quite simply a condition of fact (a built in Penal condition for disobedience if you will)  that if we do not accept the first two Commandments that declare and state that YHWH ELOHIM IS THE ONE AND ONLY SUPREME COVENANT KEEPING ELOHIM (as implied by HIS Name YHWH); IS THE ONE AND ONLY ELOHIM WHO IS ABLE & QUALIFIED/AUTHORISED TO BRING US OUT EGYPT (SIN AND SLAVERY TO SIN AND WORLD SYSTEMS); IS THE ONE AND ONLY ELOHIM WHO IS ENTITLED BY HIS LAWS AND HIS VERY PERSON TO FORGIVE TRANSGRESSIONS OF HIS ETERNAL COVENANT QUITE SIMPLY BECAUSE HE IS THE CREATOR AND LAW GIVER AND WITH ABSOLUTELY NO PEER OR EQUAL FROM ETERNITIES TO ETERNITIES - then the sinful behavioural patterns learnt from the sinful parents will be evidenced in the lives of our children to the 3rd & 4th generation! NB: We would assume the 3rd & 4th generation because the word generation is not in the original texts.

So as alluded to above we have a conundrum if you will: Seeing that we all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of Elohim WHEN DOES THE CYCLE OF VISITING THE INIQUITY ONTO THE CHILDREN STOP AND THE BLESSINGS TO A THOUSAND START?

Well obviously when we have repented of our sin (breaking Torah - 1 John 3:4) and begin to come out of the sinful patterns we have learnt and adopted as is evidenced from Genesis to Revelation.

I am afraid I do not see anything which says in this Text of the 10 Words (Commandments), or any other Scripture for that matter, which commands, empowers or instructs me, once I have repented of my sins that I now need to make certain unspecified obeisance to YHWH Elohim to ask that He remove the curses of sins and iniquities that my forefathers committed against HIM BECAUSE THEY ARE ATTRIBUTED TO ME BY CURSE AND HIS SON'S BLOOD IS NOT ENOUGH TO WASH ME CLEAN SO THAT I MAY COME BEFORE HIM - circular reading is in play here I fear. In fact Eze. 18 is very specific on this matter of anybody being in anyway responsible for their ancestors sins. We are told in Eze. 18:1-3 that the Word came to the Prophet Ezekiel telling him to admonish Israel and tell them to never again say that the sons were held accountable for the fathers sins or visa-versa.    

So to return to Shem. (Ex.) 20:5 we are told of what will happen to us if we HATE YHWH ELOHIM BY MAKING AND/OR MIMICKING IMAGES OF SUBSTANCE OR MIND AND THEN BOWING DOWN TO THEM. However YHWH INFORMS US IN verse 6 WHAT THE CONSEQUENCES OF REPENTING OF THESE ACTIONS AND RETURNING TO HIS WAYS WILL ENSURE FOR US. HE will Covenant HIMSELF to   

"..SHOWING MERCY UNTO THOUSANDS OF THEM THAT LOVE HIM, AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS.

Plain reading of the Text then quite simply shows that disobeying YHWH brings dire consequences, but by returning to Him and abandoning our idol and false worship breaks the cycle and has many blessings in store for us and others close to us.

This is exactly what Yeshua said as well in John 14:15; 14:23 and as John penned in 1 John 5:2-3.

Just a thought that comes to mind here: 

Q: Who does the enemy really hate according to the Word, and against whom does he fight in these last days?

A: Those that YHWH Elohim identifies in Shem. (Ex.) 20:6!  

"And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of ELOHIM and have a Testimony of Yeshua HaMessiach." Rev. 12:17

"Here is the patience of the of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of ELOHIM and the Faith (G4102- pistis - moral conviction, fidelity) of YESHUA.  Rev. 14:12 

 It all corresponds seamlessly does it not? So Brethren, here is the crux of my argument:

How can we be under the Law of sin, death and curses when we are told quite clearly that through Messiah Yeshua we are no longer under the law because WE ARE DEAD to the law through Messiah Yeshua: Please take time to read Romans 7: NB: see what Sha'ul says in Rom. 7:23-25 REGARDING THE CORRUPTIBLE & UNTAMEABLE FLESH; here, if ever there was a chance to address the doctrine of generational sin and the "abolishment / breaking" of generational bloodline curses, as preached today by many today, I would say that Sha'ul had the perfect platform to address it - BUT THE RUACH DID NOT - WHY I MAY ASK, IF IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO OUR WALK AND ETERNAL SALVATION? Now I am certainly not the Ruach of YHWH Elohim - but I would venture to say with the utmost caution and respect that it was not addressed because THERE IS NO SUCH DOCTRINE!

I also now would like to introduce 2 Cor. 5 with the emphasis on 5:14-21 we are completely reconciled to YHWH Elohim THROUGH MESSIAH, the flesh counts for nothing, we are completely re-newed creations entrusted with the message of reconciliation & HOW? THROUGH A SINLESS MESSIAH, WHO WAS MADE SIN FOR US THAT WE MIGHT BECOME RIGHTEOUS BEFORE ELOHIM!

Again we read in Gal. 2:15-21 that we are dead to the Law (this being the Law of Sin and Death embodied in The Torah for those who BREAK HIS COVENANT AND AS EVIDENCED IN Shem. (Ex.) 20:5) but what is of particular note in this passage of Scripture is found in Gal. 2:16: 

"Knowing that man is not justified by works of the law, BUT by the faith (Pistis - trust, fidelity, obedience) in Yeshua HaMessiach, even we have believed (Pisteuo - from Pistis - to have trust, faith, belief and commitment to a Person)Yeshua HaMessiach that we may be JUSTIFIED BY THE FAITH (NB. AGAIN G4102 - PISTIS - TRUST, FIDELITY & OBEDIENCE) of Messiah, AND NOT BY WORKS OF Law: FOR BY WORKS OF LAW shall no flesh be justified.             

 I see in this particular portion of Scripture the following: 

• Man can never be justified simply by the application of the LAW.
• Man can only be justified from ALL INIQUITY AND SIN THROUGH FAITH IN MESSIAH YESHUA'S FINISHED WORKS.
• Sha'ul (Paul) and the Apostles believed in the perfect and completed works of Yeshua.
• Man is justified IN TRUSTING (having faith and belief in) Messiah Yeshua's  absolute and complete commitment, obedience and fidelity to the Will of The Father, i.e. His fulfilling of the FULL TORAH REQUIREMENTS TO FULLY REDEEM US. Mat. 5:17-20.

So when one considers that ALL CURSES WERE & STILL ARE ONLY INCURRED BECAUSE OF THE BREAKING OF THE LAW (The Torah), INITIALLY HAPPENING IN THE GARDEN AND CONTINUALLY SINCE THEN UNTIL THE NEW HEAVENS AND THE NEW EARTH APPEAR AND THAT MESSIAH YESHUA was hanged and died on the Stake for us SO THAT HE COULD BECOME OUR CURSE**** AND REDEEM US FROM SIN AND DEATH AS DEMANDED IN THE PENAL CODE OF THE TORAH AND RECONCILE US TO ABBA; I MUST reiterate that I personally can find no instruction in the Torah that demands, suggests or requires any additional prayers or instructions apart from the prescribed sacrifices, sacrifices which we all know have been fully met in Messiah Yeshua, EVEN THE SACRIFICE FOR UNINTENTIONAL SINS - AND I AM QUITE SURE THAT ANY SINS COMMITTED BY MY FORE-FATHERS WERE NOT DERIVED FROM ANY INTENT OR COMPLICITY ON MY BEHALF. Gen. 3; Lev. 26:14-46; **Deut. 21:23 arw Gal. 3:13-15 and Mat. 27:57-61. Col. 2:8-15; Lev. 5:17-19

Another point in Scripture I would like to raise for consideration is found in Titus 3:4-11 - in which we are told we are justified by Grace, and amongst other instructions we are severely warned to steer well clear from matters of Genealogies (G1076 - genealogia - tracing by generations, that is genealogy) because persisting in this and other matters of trivia can have one ejected and rejected from the Kahila! I am well aware of the fact that here Sha'ul is referring to "Jews" trying to force Oral Torah here, but we also see in THE SCRIPTURES Translation & in verse 5 of this Chapter that -

"He saved us, NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH WE HAVE DONE BUT ACCORDING TO HIS COMPASSION THROUGH THE WASHING OF REBIRTH (G3824 - spiritual rebirth, the state or act, spiritual renovation, specifically Messianic RESTORATION - regenerated) AND RENEWING OF (BY/ THROUGH/ BECAUSE) THE RUACH HAKODESH! (With explanations afforded from other Translations  & Strongs for clarity)

Therefore I would posit that the case can be made that IF WE WERE REQUIRED BIBLICALLY TO DEAL WITH BLOOD LINE CURSES AFTER A GENUINE REBIRTH IN AND THROUGH MESSIAH THEN SHA'UL WOULD NOT HAVE CAUTIONED SO SEVERELY AGAINST "FOOLISH QUESTIONS ABOUT THE LAW & GENEALOGIES" WHEN HE HIMSELF HAD NEVER GIVEN ANY RECORDED TEACHINGS ON THE NEED TO ADDRESS OUR GENEALOGIES  (FOREFATHERS) SINS AGAINST YHWH AND WHICH ARE SUBSEQUENTLY BEING HELD AGAINST US AND WHICH WE NEED, BY EXTRA-SCRIPTURAL APPLICATIONS, TO ADDRESS TO FREE OURSELVES FROM SUCH CURSES!   

Finally I surmise that this doctrine of BLOOD LINE CURSES CAUSES US TO BLAME OTHERS (Parents, Grandparents and further back) FOR OUR SIN AND BAD CHOICES AND THE CONSEQUENCES OF THIS SIN & THOSE BAD CHOICES IN OUR LIVES INSTEAD OF TAKING CONTROL OF OUR OWN LIVES AND IN LIASON WITH THE RUACH AND THE REVEALED WORD WORKING OUT OUR SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING - further, should I surmise correctly, then the question which begs to be asked is:  If we follow this doctrine of blood line/generational curses when do we eventually become free BECAUSE THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A POSSIBILITY OF ANOTHER "CURSE" COMING DOWN FROM THOSE LONG DEAD?

Now to address the second "doctrine" - "divination of Omens/Signs" - which hopefully can be done much more quickly than the first.

I know that Gideon was given a sign of nature WHEN HE ASKED FOR A SIGN AFTER AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE ANGEL OF YHWH TO MAKE SURE THAT IT WAS INDEED YHWH ELOHIM SPEAKING WITH HIM. Jug. 6:36-40 arw 1 Joh. 4:1 & Deut (Dev) 19:15 and others.

The same applies with Elijah when the rain stopped for 3 years. 1 Kings 17:1

The  Bush burnt, the 10 Plagues were delivered; the Red Sea opened; the Jordan parted - BUT THESE WERE ALL BY DIVINE ORIGIN AND FOR A PURPOSE AND WERE FORETOLD. THE FOLK WERE NOT LEFT GUESSING AND TRYING TO CONJURE UP AND EXPLANATION AS TO WHAT YHWH MEANT AND THEN WHEN ARRIVING AT A PERCEIVED CONCLUSION (EVEN SAYING THAT THE RUACH SHOWED SOMETHING LATER) BUILDING THEIR FAITH AND WALK ON THIS OMEN/SIGN!  - Shem. (Ex.) 3:3ff; 7-12, 14:13-22; Josh. 3 and so forth.

But try as I may, I am unable to find a situation where unusual "signs" occurred in Nature WITHOUT YHWH HAVING FORETOLD THAT PARTICULAR SIGN WOULD APPEAR; or HAVING BEEN ASKED FOR THAT SIGN; or COMMANDED THAT THAT SIGN APPEAR. So to base anything on "signs and wonders" not aligned to the Word is massively dangerous. This is the foundations of occurrences like and practices such as Kabbalah, Kundalini spirit  and possibly even the substance of the belief in Generational or Bloodline Curses. This is the one of the roads towards the "Great Deception" Yeshua spoke of in Mat. 24:4-5; 24:11-13; and as recorded in 2 Thes. 2:9-12 & Rev. 13:13-18

My title to this blog is "The Curses of Generational Curses and Omens": Here is my reasoning behind this title - I have already referred to Dev. (Deut.) 18:9-14 above as the foundation of this blog - now considering the fact that I can find no credible Biblical evidence for the two doctrines I have addressed; namely blood line curses and divination of omens - 

• THEN WHO IS IT THAT IS LEADING US INTO THESE FALSE DOCTRINES? 
• THEN WHO IS IT THAT IS TELLING US THAT THEY SEE 33rd DEGREE FREE MASONRY REVEALED THROUGH THE "SPIRIT" IN OUR DECEASED FOREFATHERS BACK TO THE 3rd & 4th GENERATIONS?
• WHO IS TELLING US (OR TELLING THE ONE "PRAYING FOR AND DELIVERING US FROM THESE "CURSES") ABOUT OUR "HIDDEN" PAST?
• Eze. 18 in no uncertain terms forbids us to say that we shall be held in anyway responsible for the sins of our forefathers, or they for ours.
• WHO IS TELLING BELIEVERS WHAT THESE SIGN AND OMENS MEAN?

THINK ABOUT THIS PLEASE!

There is massive amounts of information that can still be placed in this blog, but I hope I have made my case, so: If, and I use the conjunction "if" very loosely because I am absolutely convinced that true Rebirth through The Blood of Yeshua cleanses a person completely from all sin past and present (John 15:3) and there is not a single thing we can do to add to that glorious and underserved salvation (Eph. 2:8-10) and THEREFORE ONLY WE through our own actions can bring ourselves back into a state of sin before the Father and when that happens we have an Advocate in Messiah Yeshua interceding for us day and night before the Throne of Grace. Rom. 6:12-14; Rom. 8:1-3ff; Rom. 8:31-39; 1 John 1:8 - 2:2.

Therefore "if" there is no Scriptural basis for Generational Sin and Divination of Omens - are we not in eternal and critical danger of contravening the prohibition of YHWH Elohim penned in Dev. (Deut.) 18:9-14?

IF that be the case is it not possible that those who say they have revelations of the "curses" in our forefathers are in fact listening to "familiar spirits" as was the case with King Saul (1 Sam. 28:5ff)?

Not possible you may say? 

Well it happened to Saul and we are also told in the Word that YHWH allows lyings spirits to minister to those who do not want to listen to His Council! 2 Chron. 18:19ff.

As spoken of above, and quoted in 1 John 4:1 NOT ALL SPIRITS ARE OF YHWH AND THEY MUST BE TESTED!

And finally we are told in the Torah itself that YHWH will allow such things to come across our paths to humble and prove us, to know what was in our hearts and prove if we will abide by His Torah or seek "other gods" and "other ways" BECAUSE HE NEEDS TO ALLOW THIS SO AS TO PREPARE US TO INHERIT HIS PROMISED LAND!  Dev. (Deut.) 8:1ff, Eze. 20:33-38.

Does Dev. (Deut.) 8:1ff not sound like a potential to imagine/believe that the "curses of the forefathers" are being applied to our lives?

So when, yes when - not if, this humbling and proving comes do we see it as omens and try to deduce what YHWH is trying to do? Manipulating and distorting His very Person and Works? CALLING HIS WORKS THE WORKS OF BEELZEBUB?  Mat. 12:22-37

Or do we see it as the Works of a loving Father, YHWH as He prunes Ooff our dead works done in the flesh whilst preparing us for eternity in His Kingdom with His Son? John 15:1-2.

Please brethren/sisters this is a massively important and crucial matter which challenges not only sound doctrine BUT QUESTIONS THE VERY WORK OF MESSIAH YESHUA ON THE STAKE.

Please do not be found judging The Eternal and Perfect Work of Messiah and declaring it lacking and in need of our "works" to perfect it!

Please do not discard what is written here or just accept it either, consider it prayerfully as I too am just trying to find my way home.

***H8544 - tem-oo-naw - from H4327 something portioned out, as a shape, that is (indefinitely) phantom; or (specifically) embodiment, or (fig) manifestation (of favour):- image, likeness, similitude (a quality or state of being similar to something)) - According to the Apostolic Bible Polyglot the Greek word used in the Septuagint and recorded in Shemot (Exodus) 20:4 for "likeness" is G3667 - homoioma - from G3666; a form; abstractly resemblance: Made like to, likeness, shape, similitude. We have this same word G3667 used in the Brit Chadashah (N/T) and as seen in:

Rom. 5:14: Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude (G3667) of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

Rom. 6:5:  For if we have been planted together in the likeness (G3667) of His death we shall be in the likeness of His resurrection:

We see from the above verses that H8544 as translated in the Greek as G3667 does not necessarily mean a physical likeness or even a quid pro quo situation, but can just as easily imply actions prompted out of consequences of others.  

I think the Old Afrikaans Translation (Ou Afrikaans Vertaling) use the best word here for H8544 - gelykenis in English we would say representation: This same word, gelykenis, is also used to describe a Biblical Parable. 

****Using the Apostolic Bible Polyglot once again we see that the Septuagint  used the Greek G2672 for the word Curse in Deut. 21:23 and the same word is again used in Gal. 3:13 and also we see in Mat. 27:57-61 that Yeshua's Body had to be removed before night fall THUS MAKING HIM OUR REDEMPTION BY MAKING HIM THE TORAH CURSE FOR SIN!
