Where have all the young men gone?.

This is another of those wrestle with self blogs, it is quite long and pointed, but should you feel so led I pray that you will read it prayerfully to the end and then you dear reader should decide where to go from here:

The sort of men my father brought my brother and I up to be by his examples and daily actions are today considered to be the actions of a dinosaur of an extinct age.

My Dad taught us chivalry; he taught us to respect our elders and women; he taught us to take authority and responsibility for our actions - you know those old fashioned things we used to call "manners", "honour" or forsooth "just being a man!" 

Our Mother, a very open minded forthright lady, was anything but a door mat, yet she too shared much the same core values as our Dad because she too was brought up in the same sort of society even though they were of different cultural groups (Dad - Afrikaans; Mom - English) - so no matter the storms we weathered as a family either in times of massive political and social upheavals, and there were enough to warrant more than a passing comment; or similarly the storms caused through our families own misguided ways, we stuck together as a unit with very defined roles for each member of the house according to age, gender & family affiliations.  

Remember we three Swanepoel's were born in the mid to late fifties, so no sense of Political Correctness, Dr. Spock, DR. Phil or Oprah even hinted at - Mom and Dad's word was LAW and often enforced through "physical chastisement" (is that Politically correct enough, because truth be told I use the words with tongue in cheek - we were often recipients of good old fashioned wallopings from either of our parents in the absence of the other). Now, in retrospect, and as a more impartial and wiser person, I can honestly say I cannot remember one occasion when I received a good shellacking without genuinely deserving it and, what is more, this good, consistent and fairly administered discipline, with the necessary punitive measures when required and fully supported by both parents, gave to me a very good grounding in right and wrong and the sense of the need for discipline in all area's of my life. It provided me, and I dare say my siblings, with very definite and solid borders within which we knew security, comfort and love - the foundations of normal stability! 

Neither of our parents were religious or pious during our years under their roof, but they were what we would refer to today as "the salt of the earth" largely because their ways were just that, they were as natural as the salt of the earth, their core values were established through a society that feared GOD and this fear impacted their lives regardless of their religious affiliation or political opinions (if they had any of either)!

So, did our "violent" upbringing cause any negative effects on my siblings and I?  

I don't think so, in fact as alluded to above, it molded our characters for later events which would occur in our lives and which YHWH, certainly not us, knew would transpire.  These later events which impacted our lives, homes and later our marriages, were to be caused largely by the continuing shifting political situations in Africa further fermented by variants of social, political and anthropological situations. I dare say that we could not have faced and endured, albeit with much difficulty on occasions, these almost seismic events and changes in our lives had we not been prepared for such events by having had the earlier breaking down of the familiar comfort zones and being in the family and home we were in.

It may seem strange to contemplate and difficult to fathom but the families we were all born into and the situations we all faced were all to our good, the best for us - see Rom. 8:28-32; & 1 Corth. 10 - please read this Chapter as it gives a great insight & warning as to why these sorts of "events" do indeed occur in our lives and in the lives of our forefathers. 

Although the vast majority of these events we faced, (we do cause some negative situations ourselves through choices etc.) and are still needing to face today, were and are beyond our control; although many of the events seemed to come out of nowhere and blindside us, it does not mean that these events are random, in fact in our case history bears out today their being orchestrated by the political and global powers of the time, using the tried and tested Hegelian Dialectic (an agreed upon agenda which is achieved by the application of a thesis needing to be opposed by an anti-thesis which leads to a synthesis, or the achieving of said agreed upon agenda) and that process of "agenda, thesis, antithesis, synthesis" just keeps on coming!

How we deal with and accept these changes is our prerogative, our inalienable right, but I believe knowing that these life changing events are not random mistakes or just plain bad luck will of necessity affect our choices, and hopefully attitudes.  

I believe that YHWH Abba is trying continually to either get us reconciled with Him through Yeshua our Redeemer or, having achieved that goal, He is attempting to sanctify us and make us more like His Son so as to enable us to build His Kingdom here on earth - i.e to be His salt of the earth, His light to the nations - and to this end we are all given just the one life sandwiched between our physical birth and later, a Divinely predetermined death. (Ecc. 3:2)

To see this life we have been given as anything other than a Divinely choreographed, planned, designed and predestined chain of events intended to lead each and everyone of us back to a reconciliation with our Omnipotent, Omniscient Father YHWH, through our Shepherd Messiah Yeshua (Ps. 1; Ps. 2; Ps. 23), achieved through the use of the world leaders who are seemingly "hell-bent" on destroying everything good and just (As done with Cyrus - Ezra 1:1 arw Jer 25:11; 29:10 and Nebuchadnezzar Jer. 27) is what I believe helps me, and obviously many of you reading this blog, to deal with our life journey here on earth, our trip to our of "Destination"  to our "created destiny"! (Est. 4:14; Eph. 2:8-10)

Before we go any further, please, take time to consider this thought in the context of the Scriptures quoted in the paragraph above:

Could it be that ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Boko-Haram, Al-Shabaab, the "Refugee Crisis" in Europe, the UK, US:  The seemingly illogical and destructive foreign policies of the Western Powers: The Fiscal and economic meltdown and planned fiasco the entire world is facing which seemingly cannot be escaped: The blind acceptance by the Western Powers and their leaders of radical Islam at the expense of their own Nations and the Christian believers at large, ALL BE A BATTLE AXE BEING USED BY YHWH TO BRING HIS PEOPLE RECORDED IN THE BOOK OF LIFE BACK TO HIM?

Could any major opposition to ISIS et al not alter anything and instead still lead to the ultimate demise of the Western World as we know it?

I know this is a very foreign and even distasteful concept to read about, what more to even consider it to be a possibility!  

Of course there are, and will be, many voices of dissension regarding what I am saying: But again I opine: - Should our lives just be a cosmic and random mistake devoid of any Intelligent thought behind it designed by a loving Father to lead us to a physical and eternal future with Him, and should only our meagre and much less than perfect opinions and theories be all that we have to influence the course of these random & cosmic events governing this one and only life (talk about a massive gamble; the height of human arrogance and total futility - (2 Chron. 32:1-8; Jer. 17:1-18), then stop the world now because I need to get off.  To pack on this bunch of political liars and turncoats alone would to me be a cause of heavy depression and loneliness - to think I am alone and left to myself and my own devices in this vast cosmic mistake we call time and universe is just way too weird. Whoa.. that truly frightens me, but please allow me a moment to wax a little:

The truth of the matter is very unfortunate that the vast majority of us, including many of the Body of Believers, will spend our allotted time on this planet we call home trying to re-invent the wheel of life; we will use as "survival tools" the different flavours of the same frames of reference sanctioned by the politically correct and humanist education and thought process our Western Culture and Religion have dished out to us from the crib to the crypt since time and memorial, and although some of these methods may be a band-aid on a wound, IT DOES NOT HEAL THE WOUND!  

Please know that we will all use these patterns, these "survival tools",  to differing degrees when left to ourselves in an effort to attain what we believe is important to our life and family in the here and now: You see we have all been told we need to succeed, and there is no problem with that, but what is YHWH's definition of success? Read Matt, 6:19-24 it may help with this question & Ecc. 1:2-11; Phil. 3:4-11: We will use these tools to enable us to be the best so that we can get a good job - again what does the Word say on this matter? (Ex.35:30-35; Deut. 8:17-19; Matt. 20:20-28); we will inevitably use these "survival tools" so that we make money and build a home and a secure future (Deut. 8:17-19; Ps. 127; Matt. 6:25-34), when all the while we are told in the Word that there is nothing new under the sun and that all that we chase after and try to manipulate to our own design and desire by our own strengths, yes dear reader that is what we try and do - WE TRY TO MANIPULATE CIRCUMSTANCES AND PEOPLE TO WHAT WE BELIEVE IS RIGHT OR MOST EXPEDIENT ACCORDING TO OUR LIMITED KNOWLEDGE AND PLANS, TELLING OUR CREATOR THAT WE KNOW BETTER - IS JUST PLAIN AND SIMPLE VANITY (Hebrew H1892 - hebel = emptiness, transitory, unsatisfactory). Ecc. 1:2.

This may be seemingly stretching a point, but I do not believe so, so please bear with me if you will: - 

We have the idiom or expression within the more "religious circles" that manipulation is witchcraft - HOWEVER YOU WILL NOT FIND ANY SUCH VERSE IN THE WORD.  It is possible though that this saying is derived from what we read in 1 Sam. 15:23, but I believe there is a run-up to this verse giving credence to our idiom.  

If we look a little further back we read in 1 Sam. 13:ff  that King Saul is waiting for Samuel at Gilgal so that Samuel may offer the required sacrifices to YHWH on behalf of Israel as commanded by YHWH- but the time seemingly elapses, so King Saul, to gain favour with the people & get Elohim's favour for himself and his army in regards to the inevitable confrontation between his much smaller and seemingly weaker army and the  approaching Philistine armies, decides to complete the mandated Biblical sacrifices himself, something he has no Biblical right to do, and we see in 1 Sam. 13:13-15 that this manipulative and rebellious action on Saul's behalf, even when seemingly logical and necessary to prevent his army deserting, cost Saul his Kingdom and his family their heritage. We need to read here as well that there seemed to be no contrition on the behalf of Saul after his actions and the judgement passed onto him by Samuel; in fact Saul just went and organised a census of his army and carried on with business as usual!

We again read in 1 Samuel 15 that King Saul, for a second time, bowed to the will of the people (vs. 24) and manipulated the Word of YHWH (vs. 20), built a monument to himself thereby not acknowledging YHWH in his battle victories (vs. 12) and not only that it would seem that Saul also kept the accursed King Agag alive for reasons of his own.  Finally Saul shows his true colours and ask Samuel to please worship with him (Saul) to impress the people (vs. 30). Again we are privy to the manipulation of the situation and people to his pleasure and largely done by choosing to not obey the Words of YHWH! We then see in 1 Sam. 15:23 that Samuel, under Divine authority, declares these actions of King Saul as rebellion.   

Obviously a person who manipulates others is a manipulator and according to the Oxford dictionary the definition of a manipulator is one who is skilful at influencing people or situations in order to get what one wants: - All that King Saul did was for him to get what he wanted and thought that he deserved, thus I believe this definition sums up the actions of King Saul very accurately and those actions, as said earlier, are referred to by Samuel as being REBELLIOUS and such actions are tantamount to witchcraft (H7081 - qesem = divination, oracle, witchcraft).

Thus it would appear that any attempt by any born again believer in Yeshua at deciding or influencing the outcome of any matter by our own design, desire or human efforts and actions WITHOUT THE IMPUT OF THE RUACH HAKODESH OF YHWH IS CONSIDERED TO BE REBELLIOUS  AND THUS EQUATES TO WITCHCRAFT!

We need to be aware that our fleshy actions will always dictate that which we should do is right and and that it benefits us - obviously this is no so with YHWH, (Is. 55:8-11) and thus we are by implication saying we do not trust Him to give us what He knows is right for us, we do our "own thing" which is spiritual idolatry and that is equal to adultery - and of course we all know that those practising witchcraft/divination (one in the same) shall/will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven (Rev. 21:8).

Please do not for once second think that I am advocating any form of mediocrity by stating the above - we need only to glance at the "cloud of witnesses" of Hebrews 11; our call to Love YHWH with all our heart, all our soul and all our might Deut. 6:4-9 (Hebrew Shema prayer);  the the ultimate adherence to the Torah of our Master and Saviour Yeshua crowned with His perfect and selfless sacrifice in obedience to His Fathers will (Is. 9:1-7; Is. 42:1-9; Is. 52:13-53:12; Heb. 5:5-10; Eph. 6:5-8; Col. 3:22-25) - to see that mediocrity is out.....Rev. 3:15-16!

Mediocrity does not cause waves; mediocrity moves with the crowd; mediocrity will not challenge the status quo - mediocrity lacks inspiration and is the chameleon of society blending in with everybody and everything, thus mediocrity will not lead - it will follow - mediocrity will do enough to just exist - never to excel - MEDIOCRITY IS  A FORM OF MANIPULATION!  The antonym of mediocrity is excellence, perfection and we as believers are called to be a Royal Priesthood; a Light to the nations and a city on the Hill (eluding of course to the Temple on Mount Zion) - Deut. 4:1-8; Is. 42:6; Is. 49:1-7; Matt. 5:14-16; 1 Pet. 2:9-10.

Any sustained period of mediocrity in the life of a believer is fatal to the growth of his/her spiritual life as this will lead to a state of stagnation or better known as complacency, a comfort zone.

This is where we find the Body of Messiah and their denominational systems are right now. The Body by-en-large has lost its Saltiness and Light.  The Body has become fat and lazy.  The denominational Christian system has become cumbersome and Politically Correct, trying to please people and their institutions & NOT Elohim YHWH THROUGH KEEPING HIS SET ASIDE COVENANT IN AND THROUGH YESHUA.

The borders between Biblical Truth and Western Democratic ideology have become so blurred and mixed in the denominational system, even to the extent that the Bible has been eclipsed by humanism.  The Church of today more resembles a spineless, manipulative Jezebel whore rebelling against the Covenant of YHWH than a Pure Virgin Warrior & Royal Zadokian Priesthood.

We see today that those who try and apply the pure Word of YHWH are ostracised and called legalistic (i.e. keeping Sabbath, Biblical Festivals, Kosher diet ext.), whilst those breaking the plain and straight-forward Word & advocating practices such as women clergy, homosexual lifestyles, interfaith congregations, denial of sin and the rest are deemed progressive and enlightened - and let's not forget that we are being told that such abominable behaviour is also sensitive, loving and Politically Correct, in fact they are just like Jesus according to them!  Beware leaders of the so called Christian Churches - YHWH ELOHIM WILL NOT BE MOCKED! Gal. 6:7-8.

What the Body of Messiah needs today are forceful men of principal to rise up into positions of leadership unhindered by religious structures, dogma and Politically Correct policies adopted to appease the WCC, their local affiliates and individual governments:  Men who, where and when necessary, will stand in Biblical opposition to said Church councils and Government policies when forced on the believers of Yeshua.

These men need the support groups made up of their helpmeets (wives) - wives committed to assisting their husbands to achieve what YHWH requires of the husband to do in the building of His Kingdom and thereby the wives will be fulfilling their roles in the building of the Kingdom of YHWH as well and will not be found shuffling and conniving for leadership roles over men within the Body.  

There needs to be a unified front firstly in the homes of the believers, then taken forward into the local body, workplace and so on through the leading of The Ruach of YHWH.

Men are needed to take the place of leadership in their homes and communities and their wives are needed to assist them - that is the Creation pattern seen in The Garden - BUT MEN ARE NOT TO HAVE TO SUBMIT TO THE WILES AND WILLS OF THE WIFE (FEMINISM) AS WE SEE NOW - THAT PRODUCES JEZBEL'S AND AHAB'S!

Today we have a whining, whimpering, emaciated Body of believers who are confused and frustrated; believers who are cast adrift on a sea of life with no hope or direction - they are finding themselves in the middle of an unfathomable "random cosmic mistake" having at their disposal only "survival tools" which at best are vain efforts to manipulate life situations.  These believers are part of a Feminist, Politically Correct and manipulative denominational system whose actions and messages are deemed as Rebellious to YHWH and thus make the system guilty of witchcraft, therefore all associated with this "system of denominationalism" are guilty of witchcraft by association - that being the case please know YHWH cannot be in the denomination system AND HE CANNOT BLESS THE BELIEVER ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH A SYSTEM ACCORDING TO HIS COVENANT PROMISES! YHWH IS IN FACT SHEPHERDING HIS SHEEP OUT OF THESE SYSTEMS!

That YHWH is calling His Bride back is without doubt, that He is needing to destroy the gods of the world found in governance, religion, finance, as He did in Egypt in Moshe's time,  is very evident - HE IS ALLOWING ALL AROUND US TO BE BROKEN DOWN SO THAT HE CAN BUILD IT UP CORRECTLY AGAIN AND RETURN HIS BRIDE TO HIS PATHS, THE ANCIENT PATHS! Please read Jeremiah 6 - it may very well be where the Denominations who say they represent Messiah Yeshua are today - Body of Messiah, those with ears to hear and eyes to see COME OUT OF THE WHORE OR BABYLON - COME BACK TO THE OLD TRIED AND TESTED WAYS.

May we all heed the warning and cry out "REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND!"

I need to say as well to those of us under the covering of the Titles Messianic, Hebrew Roots, Messianic Jews and others - many of us too have fallen into the trap of manipulative religion copied mostly from the Rabbinical Judaic system adopted to please brother JUDAH - THIS IS WRONG - COME BACK TO YEHSUA WE ALL NEED TO ALLOW HIM TO LEAD US IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH!

False Prophets?

Good day all,

I feel the need to quote the verse from Jude 1:3:

Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. (ESV)

The word FAITH in the above Scripture is from the Greek word pistis (G4102) which has a meaning in expanded English of to “trust and do/obey” and is gloriously described in James 2:14-26 - we even see in this portion of Scripture that the enemy believes in YHWH being One (Deut. 6:4) - let me expand here if I may - the enemy (hasatan because he was in the Throne Room of YHWH in the beginning) KNOWS THAT YESHUA AND THE FATHER ARE ONE (echad H259 - in absolute unity and solidarity and Oneness in being) but they (hasatan and his demons, the fallen ones) tremble (in fear) - so just an intellectual belief in Yeshua as Messiah and in Unity with The Father does not result in Salvation and Sanctification….. it is the belief of Messiah and Father being One and doing THE WORKS COMMANDED OF US BY HIM that results in true PISTIS (FAITH) THUS supposed intellectual “faith” without works of obedience to such “intellectual faith” is a dead faith &THUS CANNOT BE PLEASING TO YHWH OUR ABBA (Heb. 11:6) because “...without (active belief) FAITH (pistis G4102)it is impossible to please HIM. It is important to note that the word translated as “believe” when referring to the demons in  James 2:19 is the word pistyoo (G4100) which comes from same root as Pistis (G4102), BUT means just to trust or believe in - no activity seems to be required on behalf of the one doing the believing or trusting!  One could do a very interesting study on these two words and see when the Bible speaks of just believing in something or someone without participation or action on behalf of the believer - or when the believing party is required to have active participation in the relationship.

Please take a moment to think about this before you read on!

The sacred, divinely mandated and initiated onus is on each and every believer to diligently and prayerfully search out the Truth and walk according to that -THIS however does not mean we just jump around and search out what we want to as we desire - it means we search out the Truth as YHWH leads us through His Ruach - as HE leads us in paths (cycles H4570 - magal - a revolving or circular well worn track) of righteousness. (Ps. 23:3):  It is of paramount importance that we build the Kingdom of heaven here on Earth as YHWH Yeshua leads and directs us in accordance with His Torah and as supported by the Written Word as revealed to the Prophets and the Apostles! (Ps. 119:89; Matt. 6:10; 1 Cor. 3:11; Eph. 2:20-22; 2 Peter 1:16-20 please consider here that it was Kephas (Peter) who received the Word from Yeshua, who Himself received it from Abba - this is the same Yeshua that Peter walked with, the same Yeshua Who never ever broke the Torah of Moshe - so do you believe that Peter (Kephas), when speaking of The Father judging each according to our works could have meant works NOT OF THE TORAH OF MOSHE?) 

BUT NOW: Because we have all sinned and fallen shorty of the Glory of YHWH, His House is in a state of idolatry and perversion; His House is worshipping at other high places and groves; His House is running after every “spirit” and doctrine without discernment - SIMPLY  BECAUSE WE NO LONGER APPLY TORAH thus denying the very Word of YHWH and making it null en void and leading to confusion within His Body - AND THESE ARE THE HIGH PLACES OF WORSHIP WHICH WE MUST & ARE IN THE PROCESS OF BRAKING DOWN NOW - Judges 6:25-27; Mark 7: esp. verses 6-13. 

We truly need to take hold of this Truth - only YHWH through the Ruach of Yeshua can open up and reveal His Word to us - an intellectual humanly based  foundation will never ever suffice! Our job is to fill our minds with His Scripture as led and then allow the Ruach to rightly divide the word of Truth so that we can be found as workers pleasing to YHWH Elohim - we were never called to follow the opinions of man made laws and doctrines as such teachings and doctrines shall always lead to places of idolatry and high places of worship unto Ba’al !!  (Deut. 29:29; Ecc. 8:17; Prov. 21:2; Is. 40:13-14; 55:8-11; Rom. 11:33-36; 1 Cor. 2:14-16 - the natural mind cannot see the purposes of the Torah: 2 Tim. 2:15.)

We all know, or should by this time, that the human heart, and it’s accompanying feelings and emotions which are almost always inspired and driven by our wicked hearts, are the most notoriously unreliable and wicked paths to follow (Jer. 17:9), thus we have been given the Word (TORAH written by the very Finger of YHWH and supported by the rest of the Writings) by which to judge and guide our works of faith - at our own eternal peril dare we ever rely on our own feelings, opinions and thoughts!  This is not to say that YHWH does not ever use our feelings, or implant thoughts into our minds - BUT we are to prayfully discern and deduce the Truth of such feelings, opinions and thoughts to the best of our abilities and knowledge of His Word BEFORE DISSEMINATING such Words and prophecies to the Body at large! 

I can, and must accept the fact that there is much misleading and confusion in The Body of Messiah right now.  I also accept the fact that each and everyone of us has had a hand in this, myself included, but as we grow in Messiah Yeshua through progressive revelation from Him we come to see the error in our thoughts and ways. Many of these errors are made with the very best intentions, and I believe that we need to and are permitted to make room for such childlike errors within the Body - these errors will occur as we try to find our way back Home, as we try to find the way back to the Ancient paths we and our forefathers have covered over with human doctrine and lies as admonished in Jer. 16:10-21 and which is seemingly coming progressively to pass now within the nations of the entire world as YHWH gathers His people back to Him through the fishers of men and through massive tribulation accomplished by the hunters and other means! 

We need to remember that the only requirement of man is to fear YHWH and obey His Commandments.  Ecc. 12:13 because YHWH will bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether good or evil!  Ecc.. 12:14.

Having said all this I come to my concern and the point of this mail - I, and I believe most of The Body, are being inundated with these “Thus says the Lord” prophecies which come out in droves on a daily basis - YET we see that we have not had a meteor strike off the coast of Porto Rico stopping the world in its orbit for 3 days and sending mile high tsunami’s; we have not have planets rushing past us and showering us with debris and causing violent earth quakes; CERN has not split the earth open and released what-ever was supposed to be released in February or June or even September:  Stock markets have not yet collapsed - and there is so very much more being prophesied.  I for one believe solidly in Biblical prophecies, and I believe just as surely that YHWH always has and always will speak to His people in numerous way - YHWH will lead His people in accordance with His Will and Word - BUT HE ALSO WANTS EACH PERSON TO INDIVIDUALLY GROW IN KNOWLEDGE OF HIM AND TO GET TO KNOW HIS VOICE. HE WANTS TO BECOME INTIMATE WITH HIS PEOPLE ON A ONE TO ONE BASIS AS WELL AS ON A CORPORATE LEVEL - but that does not mean that we are to blurt out seemingly with out discretion endless "prophecies" for corporate consumption - the vast majority of these "prophecies" stating Thus says The LORD, may possibly be better suited when addressed as Thus says me!

These “prophecies”, in my opinion, are mainly manipulative and do nothing but cause fear and confusion within the Body of Believers.  Plus these “prophets/watchmen/women” even have the audacity to tell the hearer that we must smear/anoint everything with oil; or pledge the “Blood of Jesus/Yeshua” over our actions, families, cars, journeys; they tell us Yeshua has instructed us to fast for “x” amount of days - what a circus.

Please do not tell me that Yeshua has suspended events because of our compliance by “faith” with the non-Biblical practices of smearing oil on everything, or Pledging His Precious and eternal Blood on “something”!  This is akin to manipulation and that means placing our faith in witchcraft at best - OR AT WORST BOWING DOWN TO OTHER NON-BIBLICAL AUTHORITIES thereby akin to idolatry in the Spiritual world or adultery in the physical!

The Blood of Yeshua has been placed once and for all eternity before the Fathers Throne in The Heavenly Tabernacle thereby gaining for those given to Him by Abba and washed in His Blood, eternal redemption, and this dear reader was accomplished before the Foundations of the earth were even laid Heb. 9:7-14; Pet. 1:20; Rev. 13:8.  

We are told in Eph. 6:10-18 arw Is. 11:5; 52:7; 59:17 that our fight is not against flesh and blood BUT against the powers and principalities and rulers of darkness so we need to put on the Whole Armour of YHWH Who is Yeshua AND THEN WE STAND IN HIS POWER AND HIS MIGHT AGAINST ANY DEMONIC POWER WHICH APPROACHES US!  

Again Yakov tells us in James 4:7-8 that when we as believers resist the devil - HE WILL FLEE FROM US - and that by doing that we draw closer to Elohim AND HE DRAWS CLOSER TO US!  Please note this is the same James that tells us in his epistle, Chapter 2:8 that we are to fulfil (G5055 - teleho - perform) The Royal Law - (The Kings Law - Torah - Marriage Covenant) and then in verse 20 of the same Chapter he tells us that faith without works are dead acts!

We need to understand here and now that YHWH uses everything to achieve His goals, as all authority in Heaven and on Earth is under our Redeemer and Messiah Yeshua:  We need to understand that YHWH has developed the Kahilah (community/assembly of Believers) in which we are to nurture and be nurtured - here dear reader is the nursery with all its proper safety mechanisms which YHWH has provided for His children to grow, flourish, fall, be disciplined - here is the home HE has given us for now - here, in my opinion, is the proper Rom. 13:1-7 authority that YHWH refers to - NOT CIVIL GOVERNANCE - HERE IS WHERE YOU TEST YOUR DISCERNMENT AND PROPHETIC GIFTS; HERE IS WHERE YOU FIND OUT IF YOU HAVE BEEN TRULY CALLED TO A POSITION OF MINISTRY OR NOT - HERE IS WHERE YOU PRACTICE YOUR GIFTINGS AND ALLOW FRUIT TO RIPEN - WE DO NOT PRACTICE OR EXPERIMENT ON THE CORPORATE BODY OF MESSIAH YESHUA AS IS BEING DONE NOW AND WE CERTAINLY DO NOT ADVOCATE THAT YHWH IS REQUIRING OF HIS PEOPLE QUESTIONABLE AND DOWNRIGHT UNBIBLICAL ACTS FOR THE INDUCEMENT OF HIS DIVINE PROTECTION IN THESE POSSIBLY PROPHESIED END TIME SCENARIOS! We need also to understand that everything that ever happens to us is to our own good so as to become more and more like Yeshua, the First Born of YHWH, AND THAT THERE ARE GOING TO BE MASSIVE APOCALYPTIC EVENTS TAKING PLACE POSSIBLY IN THESE TIMES AND THEY MUST HAPPEN AS YHWH HAS DEEMED THEM NECESSARY FOR HIS BODY OF BELIEVERS AND THE WORLD AT LARGE IN VERY THESE TIMES - Matt. 28:18; Rom. 8:28.

Civil Authorities or not so civil authorities.

The first time we see the use of the Hebrew Word Torah (Law) is in Exodus 12:49

One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

This make a little of a mockery of the doctrine of there being laws for the Jews and others for the rest. However that is not the subject of this missive; in an attempt to get to todays point I shall need to explain what the Hebrew words Torah, commonly translated as Law; and Chattah, commonly translated as Sin really means to a Biblical Hebrew mind.

Torah H8451 -to-raw = From H3384; a precept of statute , especially the Decalogue or Pentateuch:- Law

H3384 - yaw-raw = A primitive root; properly to flow as water; transitively (means an action being translated to an object) to lay or throw (especially shoot an arrow); figuratively to point out (as if by aiming the finger), to teach:- (+) archer, cast or throw, direct, inform, instruct, show, lay, shoot, teach, through.

A Summary of this word Torah can best be summed up then as "an instruction or teaching as natural as the flow of water & as direct as the flight of an arrow aimed at a specific target!"

Chattah H2403 - khat-taw-aw = From H2398; an offence (sometime habitual sinfulness) and its penalty; an offender.

H2398 - khaw-taw = A primitive root; properly to miss; hence (figuratively & generally) to sin; (causatively) lead astray, condemn.

A Summary of the word Chattah than could possibly be best described  then as "an offence and the penalty of an offender who has missed the instruction/intentions intentionally or by being led astray!"

It is pretty plain to see in this very basic word description then that we sin when we miss the mark established by the Instructions of Elohim.

We can also see that Torah is rooted in Natural Law - it flows as water does - (For a further discussion on this topic read here). Torah will inevitably find its own mark as it was created to do when channeled by its own Natural Barriers Is. 55:6-11; so to prevent or impede The Law of YHWH from its Natural Course and Outcome can be metaphorically described as putting up Unnatural Barriers such as dam walls across His River of Life, His Instructions! 

Rest assured the dam walls will one day all burst, the river will return to its natural course channeled by its Natural Barriers - in fact I believe that the Dam Wall is being breached right now: Thus it is our responsibility to attempt to channel and prepare the way for a measured and controlled flow of the escaping waters - not to wait until the wall bursts causing a huge deluge of water destroying everything before it  and leaving carnage and mayhem behind it:

Brothers and Sisters, to ensure that the least possible harm will be done to The Body of Messiah we need to begin (hopefully we still have time) to channel that already breaching water in an effort to do as we are mandated by our King and Saviour Yeshua - we must cry out 'REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND!"

We need to loose the bands of wickedness, undo the heavy burdens, let the oppressed go free; we need to break the yokes of oppression - build up the old places; raise up the foundations of many generations - REPAIR THE BREACH AND RESTORE THE PATHS - Return to the True Biblical Sabbath and YHWH's Torah then, and only then, shall our light break out and our health spring forth:  Only then will our righteousness go before us and The Glory of YHWH will protect our rear - THEN WE SHALL CALL AND YHWH WILL ANSWER US - Please read Isaiah 58 this chapter speaks of the Fast of Yom Kippur which is fast coming upon us!

In an effort to try and prepare the way for those who are to come it is obviously encumbered upon us to rebuild the breaches and raise up the foundations (from the Hebrew H4146 -  from H3245 - root, set, established, instruct, ordain) as stated above - and these foundations which need to be raised up again are many.  

Please do not misunderstand me - YESHUA HAMESSIACH has redeemed (H1350 - gas-al = to be redeemed, bought back by a next of kin) and saved (H3467 - Yasha - to be free, be safe, succoured - this is the root as well for Yeshua's Name) us through His Blood and HE is our foundation to all the good works which we are to be clothed in so as to be adorned as His Bride! Col.3:12

I speak today not only to those already redeemed (bought back) and saved (have eternal safety in the Bosom of The Lamb) but who may not yet be partakers of HIS Marriage Covenant as spoken by YESHUA Himself and written with HIS very finger at Mount Sinai (Ex. 19:5 - 24:8); nor do I speak exclusively to many Torah observant, Shabbat keeping brethren now having that same Torah written on their hearts by The Finger of YHWH, but I speak as well to those who have not yet come to Messiah Yeshua, BUT whose names are recorded in the Book of Life and are yet to come home! I do not know who you are, where you live or what will induce you to accept the free gift of Grace offered by YHWH through Messiah Yeshua but rest assured HE does and will achieve His purpose in your life!

To you all I need to say today: - To raise up the old, established foundations and build the old wasted places we shall of necessity also need to first break down Ecc. 3:3; Jer. 1:10. My last blog dealt with the fallacy of the oils of anointing; this time I believe I need to speak on the false teachings we have been force fed concerning Rom. 13:1-7 & 1 Pet. 2:13 - Obey the State and Civil Governments at all cost as it is your Christian duty!

It would seem that before any agreement can be reached on these specific Scriptures quoted above however, one would need to firstly establish what a Biblically recognised Authority entailed:  

It is very evident from Rom. 13:1 that every soul (every single human being of planet earth - this obviously includes the rulers) must be subject (obey, be under the authority) to the higher powers because all authority (including the authority of the higher authorities)  comes from YHWH alone - and only YHWH can grant such legal authorities!

Taking the above into account then may I, with due consideration, suggest that a Government worthy of our subjugation and support should themselves be under the full authority of The Creator Himself & at all times be seeking His Will for all those in their area's of jurisdiction - they should be caring for the people NOT ABUSING THEM - They should be ministering in Truth and Righteousness, not lusting after their flocks recourses to benefit and enhance their own lifestyles; they should use even scales - being SHEPHERDS & NOT WOLVES!

Seeing that we do not have many, if any such Governments of the face of the earth which fill these Biblical criteria what are we to do? Are we just to obey "blindly"?  

Let us try and examine our options Biblically:

Firstly If we break Rom. 13:1 down to mean that we must always obey any civil authority no matter what it would suggest that YHWH forces us into positions where we have to SIN and should we not SIN WE WOULD BE COMMITTING A SIN! This would make a mockery of the treasonous act committed by Rahab Jos. 2:1-20 and the fulfilled promise made to her by the spies and honoured by Joshua recorded in Jos. 6:17-25 and many other such recorded acts as with Gideon, Daniel and seemingly the Apostle Sha'ul, the writer of this section of Scripture. Zeph. 3:5

According to tradition, Sha'ul (Paul) who wrote Romans, was beheaded by Nero - we should note that both Sha'ul and Peter received the punishment for capital offences against the State - Sha'ul, being a citizen of Rome, was beheaded & Peter, being of Israel was crucified. Does not seem that these two Apostles "obeyed the State uncompromisingly" quite frankly, because had they done exactly as was required by Rome they would not have been persecuted unto death.

So it would seem that always obeying Civil Governments and institutions blindly should not and never be an option! Instead we are to be intelligent agents of YHWH applying Biblical Principles to measure the Civil Authorities whilst at all times seeking the leading of The Ruach HaKodesh!

But what if this portion of Scripture has been entirely misused by the establishment (be they Religious and/or Civil authorities) to enslave and bring the Bride of Messiah under another husband/master?

You see dear reader there is another completely different school of thought concerning this portion of Romans which may have merit when taking into consideration the concerted efforts by the non-Jewish believers of that time to distance themselves from their Jewish Biblical roots and align themselves with Constantine and Rome: Now with this thought in mind shall we look at verses 1 & 2 of Chapter 13 and read them in the context of Romans 12 especially vs. 21 and investigate why there are those Torah Teachers that suggest that Romans 13:1-6 was addressed by Sha'ul to the Assembly in Rome admonishing them to obey the Kahila (Synogogue) authorities as a situation may have arisen within the Kahilah precisely because of the friction between the Jewish and ex-gentile believers: 

Sha'ul tells his Roman audience 

"..the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing." (Emphasis added)

• Ordained - G5021 - to arrange in an orderly manner (not chaotic civil despots).
• Ordinance - G1296 - arrangement, institution used instrumentally (again not unprincipled pagan orders).
• Damnation -  G2917 - a decision to avenge against a crime.
• Terror - G5401 - alarm, exceeding fear, terror.
• Good works - G18 - in any sense as a noun, benefit, good things & G2041 - deed, act, labour, work.
• Minister of God - G1249 - a Deacon, a waiter, specifically a Christian Teacher and Pastor: The same word used in Phi. 1:1 & 1 Tim. 3:8 and 3:12  it would seem here that of the 30 or so times this word is used in Writings of the Apostle (N/T) these two occasions recorded in Rom. 13:4 are they thought to apply to Civil Governance! 
• Sword -  G3162 possible female derivative of G3163 & G3164  - a knife battle, that is (fig) war, controversy: Fighting, strive, striving; judicial punishment, quarrel, dispute. This word is also used twice in the Spiritual sense Eph. 6:17 & Heb. 4:12.
• Conscience Sake - G1223 - the channel of an act, by reason of & G4893 from a prolonged form of G4894; co-perception, that is moral consciousness; conscience - to see completely, to understand or become aware - to be clandestinely informed, to consider, beware of.
• God's ministers - G2316 - a Deity, the supreme Divinity, God & G3011 - a public servant, that is a functionary in The Temple or Gospel, or (generally) a worshipper (of God) - or a benefactor (of man):- minister - G3011 is used 6 times in the Apostolic Writings and only this once is it said to refer to Civil Administrators.

I believe that Romans 13:7 might be a clue to what Sha'ul may have been addressing in Romans 13:1-6

"Render therefore to all their dues: Tribute to whom tribute; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour"

Was there strife and problems within the Roman community regarding the ecclesiastical hierarchy's authority, halacha (liturgy) and their financial support? We may never know, but it may be worth considering when looking at this divisive portion of Scripture.  

As I have stated, the above is another school of thought which I believe does have merit:  However which ever way we may lean, be it towards the civil authorities or the ecclesiastical - when reading further in Romans 13 verses such as 8 (love - obey Yeshua's Commandments which is Torah as born out in vs. 9, 10, 12 (works of darkness), 13 (walk honestly in the day) & 14 (Putting on Messiah Yeshua making no provision for the flesh - Read this verse with Eph. 6:10-18 an the missive on anointing ) I believe to try and twist this Scripture to mean that we are to blindly follow Civil Governments is incorrect and such unscriptural actions in the future could lead to disastrous consequences for the Body of Messiah.

Now I would like to spend a little time on 1 Peter 2:13ff but before we do we need first to realise that The Ruach HaKodesh chose that this Scripture be penned and recorded for posterity and instruction by the very same man that in no uncertain terms informed the Sanhedrin of his day that he would never listen to them if their instructions ran contrary to the Message/Word of YHWH and Yeshua and even after being beaten he purposefully went about contravening the Sanhedrin's orders continually with the Apostle John and was miraculously delivered out of prisons where he had been incarcerated because of his obedience to Yeshua and not the authorities. (Acts 4:19-20; 5:27-32 & 40-42).

To begin this short study on this portion of Scripture we shall look at the word ordinance recorded in 1 Peter 2:13 which is from the Greek word G2937 = ktisis - original formation, building, creation, creature, ordinance -and is used 19 times in the Apostolic writings, 17 times as either creature or creation, once as building - when referring to the Heavenly Tabernacle and once here in 1 Pet. 2:13 as ordinance.  The only other time we find the word "ordinance" recorded in the Apostolic writings is in Rom. 13:2 and there the Greek word G1296 as defined above and meaning arrangement, institution used instrumentally - thus as can be seen it is a completely different word to the one translated here in 1 Pet. 2:13:  Here is how the Douay-Rheims Bible translates 1 Peter 2:13:

Be ye subject therefore to every human creature for God's sake: whether it be to the king as excelling; 

We read further that we are to be subject in equal measure to those sent to punish evildoers or who praise those who do well - brethren evil doers are those breaking Torah whilst those doing well will of common cause submit themselves to the Ordinances of YHWH & when doing so they shall do well and silence the ignorance of foolish men (A fool says there is no ELOHIM Ps. 14:1; 53:1 NB: Apostolic Bible Polyglot uses the same Greek word G878 - aphrone in Ps. 14:1; 53:1 & 1 Pet. 13:15).

The Apostle then admonishes us as servants of Elohim to not hide our own malicious (G2549 - kaki = badness, depravity, evil malice, wickedness, worthlessness, injurious) works under our cloak of liberty in Messiah BUT rather to honour all, to love the brethren (Body of Messiah) Fear Elohim and finally in equal measure (because the same word is used here for honour in both instances) we are to honour the king as we honour all men.  For brevity and clarity Brethren the Word admonishes us to never ever show favouritism no matter who is involved Ex. 23:2; Lev. 19:15; Deut. 1;17; 2 Chron. 19:6-7; Rom. 2:11 and more - so to do otherwise towards governments/civil authorities would be against the Word of YHWH I believe.

So it would seem that Peter was speaking here of the conduct of the Believer towards all of society, including civil authorities should such be just then obey them; but should they be fools we should carry on obeying and applying Torah so as to silence the fool who says there is no God - NO MATTER WHO THE FOOL MAY BE OR WHAT STATION THE FOOL MAY HOLD!

So where does that leave us today?

Well I believe that one does not need to be a fortune teller or a gazer of Crystal balls to see that dam walls are all bursting and no matter how many Little boys, Dutch or otherwise, put their fingers into the holes the dams all will come tumbling down.

Let us understand quite unequivocally that we are where we are today not because of the Governments or the IMF - they, Governments and IMF's et al, are all here today because of us, we have chosen them ourselves - WE DECIDED TO DO AWAY WITH THE LAW OF YHWH: WE AND OUR FOREFATHERS DECIDED TO OPEN THE DOORS TO THESE HUMANISTIC INSTITUTIONS! WE ASKED AND YHWH GAVE!

These authorities, be they ideological or civil, are all just the Natural Result of our Lawlessness - The Natural Result of what will happen when we break the Underpinning foundational Laws of Creation, both the Spiritual as well as the physical:  Torah will right itself dear reader because THAT IS THE NATURAL LAW OF CREATION!

THEREFORE I BELIEVE OUR CHOICE DEAR READER IS RATHER SIMPLE AND STRAIGHT FORWARD:- WILL WE ALLOW THE CREATOR OF THESE LAWS BACK INTO OUR LIVES, & ALLOW HIM TO LET THESE LAW OF CREATION FIND THEIR CORRECT COURSE AND LEVELS AS WE FOLLOW HIS LEADING NO MATTER WHERE, NO MATTER WHAT - OR WILL WE FIGHT HIM AND TRUST THE TRADITIONS OF OUR FOREFATHERS, DENOMINATIONS AND THE SECULAR MANDATE WE HAVE HANDED TO THE WORLD/GLOBAL POWERS TO DELIVER US IN THESE PERILOUS TIMES?

Nobody can fight the Beast and it's system - EXCEPT OUR YHWH TSABA - OUR LORD OF HOSTS,  EL-GIBBOR - OUR VALIANT ELOHIM: HE will carry us on the Wings of an Eagle, HE will protect us when 10,000 fall at our right and 1000's to our left, HE WILL CAUSE MIGHTY FLOODS TO BE SWALLOWED UP - HIM OUR KING AND SAVIOUR THE REDEEMER MESSIAH YESHUA!  But first He will NEED TO PURIFY US AS GOLD AND SILVER in the Wilderness of the Nations (Eze. 20:33ff) and He will purge those not obedient to Him - those not walking in His Marriage Covenant and Kingdom Rules may make it into Eternity BUT THEY WILL NEVER BE CONSIDERED GREAT IN HIS KINGDOM - Mat. 5:17-20.

Dare we cry out, Come Yeshua Come?  Dare we lift up your eyes and hope that His coming is nigh?

These answer lays with each of us - Yeshua wants a personal relationship with each and every one of us, He died for people NOT FOR DENOMINATIONAL RELIGIONS!

Oils of Anointing.

I do not see that the oils of anointing were ever used to protect anybody, in fact the 154 or so verses in the Word (135 Torah – O/T & 19 Brit Hadassah – N/T) all would seem to refer to one of the following criteria:*****

·             Setting apart a High Priest/Priest.

·             Setting apart a Prophet.

·             Setting apart a King.

·    Setting apart an instrument or object for YHWH’s use (i.e. Temple Pillars, Altars, Ark, Menorah and the likes).

The Word tells us very clearly that we need to submit ourselves to Elohim resisting the enemy and he will flee James 4:7.

We need to do a quick “midrash” on this verse:

When we submit ourselves to YHWH Elohim (obey His Laws, come into His will through Messiah Yeshua as laid out in His Word and directed by His Ruach) we will by our very actions/stance in Messiah, by default be resisting the wiles of the enemy and he will/must flee.

How would we do that?

By applying Eph. 6:10-18 because our fight is not against flesh and blood but against the powers and principalities of the high places – heavenly realms (G2032 – epouranios = above the sky, celestial, heavenly; high.)

It is of interest to note here that in the context of Eph. 5:22- 6:9, Eph. 6:10-17 was written by Sha’ul to enable us to complete and comply with 5:22 – 6:9. Dear brother and sister in Messiah, we need to apply (or put on the Armour of Messiah – which means clothing ourselves in Messiah Rom. 13:14) FOR HIS PROTECTION and as spoken of in vs. 11 of Eph 6. This condition/application of walking in the “covering of Yeshua” dear brother and sister is the same which we require for every situation we will ever encounter or be instructed to comply with whilst building on or walking in His Kingdom Rule! WE CANNOT WALK IN MESSIAH AND DO HIS WORK WITHOUT HIS EMPOWERING, COVERING, PROTECTION, WISDOM AND INSIGHT – IF WE COULD WE WOULD NOT NEED HIS REDEEMING SACRIFICE AND RESURRECTION!

So for the complete protection of Messiah Yeshua against the works and wiles (tricks, attacks) of the demonic powers, especially their leader HaSatan (Satan), we need to walk under the covering of the Blood of Messiah Yeshua and in His Marriage Covenant as directed by the Ruach HaKodesh – definitely not by smearing or anointing of ourselves and everything else within arms reach with olive oil!

Reading 2 Cor. 1:21-22 the case is made that all our anointing comes via Yeshua Who is Elohim, and Who has also sealed us with the Ruach and thereby given His “pledge” or “surety” - “down-payment” or “deposit” of His First Fruits of His Eternal Covenant to Eternal Life in our own spirits which we accept by faith (fidelity – obedience to the carrying out of His Commandments’) which enable us to carry out His Bidding and Works according to His Will.

(G5548 – chrio = probably akin to G5530 through the idea of contact; to smear or rub with oil, that is (by implication) to consecrate to an office or religious service:- anoint:  G5530 is – chraomai = to furnish what is needed (given an oracle, gaze [touch slightly], light upon, to act towards one in a given manner:- entreat use)

This in turn leads us to 1 John 2:26-3:3 this is a massive teaching needing to be expounded on later – see verses 4ff re what sin truly is - BUT for the purposes of this exercise let’s have a look at verse 27 of 1 John 2 and specifically at the word anointing (G5545)

“…but the anointing you have received of HIM abideth in you……. But as the same anointing teaching you all things, and is truth and is no lie, and even as it (The Anointing which is the gift of The Ruach Himself) hath taugh you, ye shall abide in Him.” (Takes us back to Eph. 6:10-18 - explanations added by writer)

The word translated in both cases above as anointing is the Greek word G5545 - chrisma = which is associated to the word Chrio From G5548 as shown above; an unguent or smearing, that is, (figuratively) the special endowment (chrism) of the Holy Spirit: - anointing, unction).

Here we see that The presence of the Ruach HaKodesh and His Anointing are Biblically inseparable, thus any anointing’s not in line with The Written Word cannot be Biblical or of YHWH!  Where oil is used for anointing the oil is simply a symbol of The Ruach of YHWH – not some magical potion used to achieve our hoped for results!   NB: James 5:13-16 – the afflicted are healed/forgiven by the prayers of the faithful (those walking in accordance with The Ruach of YHWH): NOT BY SOME MAGICAL CHANT AND ACTION AS IS SO OFTEN DONE WHEN ANOINTING HOUSE AND ALL SORTS OF NONSENSE!

A sister has just asked me what Dan. 10:3 means:

“…….neither did I anoint myself at all, till three weeks were fulfilled.”

This is a good question, and deserves an answer - The word used in Daniel 10:3 for anoint is H5480 – sook = a primitive word – to smear - we could interpret this today to mean to rub cream into our bodies to prevent dry skin, to give a pleasant fragrance – basically for beautification and/or cosmetic purposes; to nourish the skin and/or body.

The word used & translated for Biblical anointing is H4886 – mashach = to rub with oil, that is to anoint; by implication to consecrate; also to paint: - anoint, paint. Please see that the anointing spoken of here covers us, paints us another colour so to speak, thus changing us and setting us apart!

Therefore when we look at the words translated for an actual “anointing” instructed by YHWH and recorded in Ex. 28:41 the following can be observed:

And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint (H4886) them, and consecrate ((H4390 (H853) H3027) them, and sanctify (H6942) them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office. (Ex. 28:41).

Here we see an entirely different concept – the anointing executed by Moshe as commanded by YHWH on Aaron and his sons was to

·             consecrate them (H4390 (H853) H3027 – to replenish, fill to full, to overflowing specifically that which is to be anointed so as to empower that which is being anointed figuratively and literally to be the Hand used by YHWH)

·             sanctify them (H6942 – to be make, declare or observe to be ceremonially and/or morally clean:- appointed, consecrated, dedicated for use by YHWH)  

We need to also look at what Biblical Anointing Oil constituted: The Recorded Word instructs us that only a very definite and Divine combination of spices and pure olive oil could be used to produce an oil suitable to perform an anointing, and said anointing was only done as and when YHWH demanded it for the likes of setting aside for His use a King, a Priest, a Prophet or a Holy Instrument which was to be used in His dedicated service. 

We should please bear in mind here that the production of this "Peculiar Anointing Oil", like the Tabernacle, was made to exact specifications for the purpose of representing as faithfully as possible here on Earth what is eternally established in Heavenly Realm of YHWH - in this case The Ruach HaKodesh Himself! Thus Ex. 30:22-38 is a must read: This portion of Scriptures tells us very, very clearly exactly how YHWH’s Anointing Oil and His Incense is to be made AND for exactly what purposes they are to be used, and when they are to be used: 

NB: Please again I must emphasise that the above point cannot be stressed too often or too seriously - ONLY YHWH HIMSELF can instructs when and how and for what purpose this "Anointing Oil" can be manufactured and used: this oil can never be applied to just any person – AND this oil MAY NOT EVER BE COPIED BY MAN - IF MAN SHOULD DO THAT HE WILL DIE (BE CUT OFF FROM ISRAEL) THIS IS AN ETERNAL COMMANDMENT!  See also the following verse for an example of when Biblical Anointing Oil was used in the Word – Ex.25:6; 29:7; 29:21; 30:25; 30:31; Lev. 8:2; 8:10; 8:12 (done to Aaron to sanctify him for the office he was to perform); 8:30; Num. 4:16.

We are told in Gen.28:18 & 35:14 that Yaakov (Jacob) poured (H3332) out oil onto a rock which he used as a pillow and then later onto a pillar that he constructed – there is no Biblical mention made here that YHWH instructed Yaakov to carry out these acts – HOWEVER Scripture is very definite and clear that at these places YHWH arranged a personal meeting with The Patriarch Yaakov and that this was indeed “Holy Ground” where there were “Holy Encounters” – so once again we see that the occasion was to set aside to commemorate a Divine encounter with Covenantal (Marriage) implications.   

(H3332 - yaw-tsak'= properly to pour out; by implication to melt or cast as metal; by extension to place firmly, cleave fast (marriage talk), be (as) firm, set down, steadfast)

Again looking at the anointing of Saul as the first King of Israel (1 Sam. 9:16; 1 Sam. 10:1) and later David (1 Sam. 16:6; 16:12; 16:13) the Hebrew words translated and used for anoint (H4886), anointed (H4886), pour (also translated in some translations as anointed – H4886)  are the same words highlighted above for the setting apart, or establishing of a consecrated person or implement for service unto YHWH – It is of interest here to note that at the time David was anointed the Spirit of YHWH (The Ruach HaKodesh) settled onto David & left Saul (1 Sam. 14) so we can loose our "Anointing" through disobedience!

Note Well: The word used above for anointing (H4886) IT IS NOT the Hebrew word translated in Dan. 10:3 to anoint for personal hygienic or cosmetic reasons (H5480).

To draw this to a close I believe, that as with every situation, if an action is not inspired, empowered and directed by YHWH through His Ruach HaKodesh it is vanity and stubble, an action which is destined to be destroyed by fire.

YHWH, in His mercy does not punish us for sinful actions carried out in ignorance; BUT HE will lead us in His perfect way and in His perfect time to the Truth SHOULD WE HAVE A LOVE FOR HIS TRUTH. (2 Thes. 2:9-11).

I do not believe that YHWH heals every person, just as He does not raise up every person from the dead – HE HEALS AND RAISES UP AS HE SOVEREIGNLY WILLS! WE ARE JUST HIS INSTRUMENTS.  The oil that we are told in the James 5 to “rub/ smear/ anoint the sick with is purely a gesture of a cosmetic and soothing application for the ailing person from caring brothers.  It is very evident from the Word that it is the prayers of the Faithful (those born again and walking in Torah) which effects the healing according to the Will of the Father (James 5:15) – please remember without faith (application of the Laws of YHWH through His Ruach) it is impossible to please Elohim! Conclusion:  I see nowhere in the Word where the application of using any oil, olive oil or otherwise, is used to protect houses, drive away demons, block roads, bless computers or pens for exams – this is patent witch craft & thus in my estimation we have grossly misinterpreted or misused the Biblical concept of Anointing thus at best we have in ignorance superstitiously applied un-Biblical criteria and should cease immediately with such practices, and at worst we have applied the spirit of manipulation/witch craft to try and force the body of Messiah &/or The Hand of YHWH to do our will.

Please see the error and manipulation in this practice for what it is:  We are inundated with people (believers even) who try to sell special “anointing oils” at special prices for special applications…!  Do they realize what they are doing – they are playing with Holy, Set Apart and Divinely ordained matters WHICH CAN LEAD TO DEATH! Hos. 4:5-6.

Please be warned, I believe that we should take this matter up very seriously seeking His Truth and direction in these last days – whether we are practicing these “religious unbiblical anointing’s” by choice or ignorance, we need to repent of this practice, desist immediately and ask YHWH’s forgiveness and plead that He will lead us in paths of righteousness for His Name sake NOT OURS – WE ARE HERE TO BUILD HIS KINGDOM ACCORDING TO HIS WILL – AND HE IS DEFINITELY NOT HERE TO BUILD OURS ACCORDING TO OUR WILL.

We find all the Protection, Anointing and provisions we need in walking in obedience and faith in and through our Messiah Yeshua, our High Tower of Strength and Grace.
